Reel it in!
At the spawn island, you can head to the docks facing where the Navigator is. At the left-hand side of the docks are two NPCs fishing. Fisherman Puzrat is the NPC merchant who will sell fishing rods to you. He offers three types of rods, Wooden (5,000$), Rare (Level 350 and 50 Gems), and Legendary (Gamepass only).
Equip the rod you have just purchased through the inventory menu. Now you can stand at the docks and throw your line by tapping a body of water once. Simply wait for a biter and reel it in using the tapping function, you will notice a bar at the bottom of your screen too which shows you how close you are to reeling the fish in.
Fish that you catch automatically award you with EXP and are transported to your inventory where you can view the name of the fish and rarity. Get fishing to generate EXP and sell for cash!
