If you’re looking for the Mana Sense ability, all you need is plenty of Yen! That and finding the Mana Sense Guy NPC. I’ll walk you through the steps to find the NPC before parting ways with your wad of cash.
From the spawn area in the main town hub, head towards the Mana Light shack (the safe zone faces the back of the shack!). Once you’ve ran past the shack, you need to head straight down the dirt path until it turns to the left. Turn this left, and you’ll see that the dirt path now leads to a bridge over the river.
Walk over this bridge, pass the Quest Giver NPC, and walk over the next bridge. Spot the green circle that signifies a safe zone around the tower in the distance.
Next, make your way to the tower, but after walking up the steps, turn left. This is where the Mana Sense Guy is standing! Give him the 5K Yen, and you’ll find yourself being thrown into a mini-game. This determines whether or not he’ll give you the Mana Sense ability. The mini-game is pretty straightforward, as all it requires is clicking 40 red circles to make them green before the timer runs out.
