It’s important to note that you can only pick up fruits to extend your snake’s length with your mouth. Hit some fruit with any other part of the snake and it won’t make any difference. The longer your snake, the bigger your score when you get to the end of the level, so try and grab all of the fruit you can.
When you’re climbing up things, you need to wrap yourself around them to make sure you don’t fall. That can be as simple as wriggling through either side of a series of poles, for example. Don’t just rely on your forward motion to get you up, instead make sure you’ve got leverage lower down.
When you’ve earned enough fruits to upgrade the length of your snake at the start of the level, you should spend them. A longer snake at the start gives you a much better chance to win, and in turn, earn more fruits at the end of the level. You can watch videos to do the same thing, but it’s time consuming.
Once you’ve picked up enough fruit, you’ll grow some little wings that let you fly. Be cautious when you’ve got these, because they’re as likely to get you in trouble as they are to help you out. Play carefully and you’ll do just fine, but don’t overstretch just because you’ve got limited flight powers now.
At the end of most of the levels, you get a chance to multiply your score. You want to make sure you’re always going through the lowest numbered gate. This will cost you the smallest amount of length and put you in the best position to move as far as possible and get the highest multiplier.
