Gran Rey Cero Type Soul Guide

With the release of the Boss Raid game mode within Type Soul, more players than ever have been able to get their hands on Hogyoku Fragments. These (usually) incredibly rare fragments allow Arrancar players to obtain a moveset called the Gran Rey Cero, which is a more potent version of their standard Cero.

How To Get Gran Rey Cero

To obtain Gran Rey Cero, you’ll need 9 Hogyoku Fragments. These can be obtained through successful raids with a small drop percentage. However, Type Soul is currently enjoying some generosity. The new game mode, Boss Raids, seems to be spitting them out with a higher drop chance.

In exchange for the 9 Hogyoku Fragments, you can get and equip Gran Rey Cero from the ‘Special’ category on your Skill Tree. Remember to assign it to a slot in your hotbar!

You also need to be a Vastocar player, which is a lineage route connected to Arrancars. For more details on how, check out our Type Soul Arrancar Progression guide.

What Is Gran Rey Cero

This move is very explosive, taking a few seconds to charge before unleashing blue hell on a target and some environmental damage. The Gran Rey Cero is incredibly powerful, dealing high damage at long range. When activated, it consumes 10% of the user’s HP to fire off the Cero, dealing that 10% HP to enemies. So, the higher your HP allowance, the more powerful this move becomes during combat!
