Golf Clash Fall Major Tips and Tricks: How to Ace the Fall Tournament Like a Pro

Every fan of Golf Clash knows about the lucrative tournaments. They are a chance for players to show off, earn coins and a few cards or balls along the way. Don’t worry if you are new to Golf Clash, you won’t be thrown in with the big dogs straight away. First, you need to qualify for the Rookie division, after this, you can worry about getting to the next level of Pro and then Expert. These tips will correspond to any difficulty and to any tournament.

• Take stock. Before any tournament, take a quick look at what you’ve got. This includes looking at how many balls you’ve got, plus if any clubs are close to upgrading or have strong skills like backspin or front spin. If you are in the Rookie division, then odds are you won’t have the best clubs or balls to compete. If you do, then you should find the Rookie division easy. Those extra yards a good ball can get you will make or break certain holes in this course.

• Stockpile balls. I recommend stockpiling balls before the tournament as they will help a lot. Having an abundance of balls is ideal as there isn’t one ball you should stick with all the time. For example, some holes you will want to go for raw power and try to get as many yards as you can. Other shots require precision, which is aided by the amount of spin you can put on the ball.
• Front spin or backspin? Although if you are at tournament level, you should already know this, yet I figure it’s worth highlighting once again. If you want your ball to gain a couple extra yards, then add front spin. This is useful if you’re trying to get on the green or stretch the yards to land on the green in your next shot. If your shot is going to land close to the hole remember to add backspin, this is because momentum will take your ball out of the green, so you will need to compensate it.

• How important is sidespin? This may sound like I dodged the question, but it is and it isn’t. Sidespin is useful depending on the terrain in front of you. If you land on a slope, then having side spin in the direction of the slope will increase your yards. Sidespin is also useful for dodging bunkers and other hazards on the golf course. Remember, you don’t need to pick special clubs or even adjust your ball to inflict sidespin. If you want your ball to bend, then when you pull back your shot, move the ball in the direction you want the ball to curve.

• Move the camera. Often enough the game will automatically point your shot at the hole, but it’s a silly thing to rely on. So before every shot, especially ones onto the green, move the camera around to see if the ball will travel where you think it will. Another thing to remember is that only part of the ball’s trajectory is revealed when lining up a shot. This means the ball will still roll past wherever the guideline stops, so if you’re not sure where a ball will end up then either play it short or add spin.

• Practice makes perfect. I know nobody likes losing, but it’s unrealistic to think you will play the Golf Clash Fall Major and win it on your first go. Even the grandmasters have off days, but your first few attempts should have one focus, which is to learn the course. Once you’ve played the course a couple times over you will spot areas to avoid or shoot towards and perfect your shots. In the tournament you don’t want to throw any unnecessary shots away, so play safe, learn the course and get round in or around par.
