Gobble Dash is a fresh new spin on Snake, one of the first mobile games we ever played back when Nokia was still a thing.

It’s basically Snake meets Pac-Man. You’ve got to gobble up all of the pellets in a variety of arenas without bumping into your own body.

You’ll swipe to change directions in tight corridors, planning your path ahead to avoid colliding with yourself. It might look easy on paper, but it’s far from it.

In this guide, we’re going to provide a bunch of tips and tricks to help you master Gobble Dash in no time at all. Good luck!

Gobble Dash Tips and Tricks:

  • Plan ahead: You’re actually not under much time pressure in Gobble Dash, as there are handy little checkpoints to reach that provide a few moments of respite in between gobble sessions. Use these moments to look ahead for a safe path that doesn’t involve you eating your own tail.
  • Don’t rush: You’re under no time pressure whatsoever. Your score remains the same if you go fast or slow, so we recommend playing the patient game and taking a glance ahead to see where the safest route is, then take that. You’ll appreciate taking that approach later when you show your high score off to your friends.
  • There’s no shame in backtracking: There’s no shame in crossing the same path multiple times – especially when you consider that there’s no punishment for doing so either. Your score remains unaffected. So if you need to, don’t hesitate to backtrack.
  • Do the tight spots first: If there’s a tight spot on the map, head there first. That will become much more difficult later, when you’re a very big snake. Take a moment to assess the layout of the level each time you reach a new one.
  • Don’t just skirt the edges: It’s tempting to skirt the edges and collect those pellets first, but we don’t recommend that as a strategy. We actually recommend doing the opposite. Grab the pellets in the middle of the circuit first, then the edges. You’ll be too big at the end of the level to navigate the treacherous middle sections.
