There are two things to upgrade in Giant Rush, your kick power and your high score potential. While it might be tempting to focus on upgrading one of them, that’s not really going to help. The two skills work in tandem to get you the most points.
Instead, you should keep them both upgraded at the same rate. If you find your kicks aren’t powerful enough, focus on those for a while. Or, if you’re hitting the wall with every kick, prioritize your score potential.
You’ll spot the keys on various levels, just bobbing there minding their own business. You’ll want to pick them up if you can. When you’ve got three you’ll be given a chance to unlock some chests.
These chests features piles of gems and some new costumes too. Grabbing the gems is a great way to boost your coffers and it’s going to help you when it comes to getting high scores in the long run.
Fire mode is basically your super power. It unlocks when you’ve collected enough people on a level without taking a hit, and it’s one of the best ways to nab the highest score.
When you’re in fire mode every person turns the hue you are and you get a magnetic field that drags them, and any gems on the level, towards you. Focus on setting off fire mode whenever you can and you’re going to see your scores shooting up.
Gems are the most important thing in the game. You use them to upgrade your character, which is the only way to get better scores. There are a few tricks you need to learn to get more gems while still enjoying the game.
Mainly these involve watching videos. Don’t bother too much watching videos to increase your haul on regular levels, but always do it on bonus levels when you’re only collecting gems. It’s worth doing it to get more keys and increase your gem count when you’re unlocking chests too.
At the end of the level you’re going to have to fight another giant. The best way to do this is to use as many fingers as you feel comfortable with to tap the screen.
