Genshin Impact Events FAQ

Genshin Impact can be pretty overwhelming when you first start – and then a ton of events are thrown in! We’ll answer your questions down below.

What Are Genshin Impact Events?

The events in Genshin Impact are great ways to entice players’ to log in. You will receive a variety of rewards, most notably, an abudnace of Primogems. If you play Genshin Impact, you’ll know just how sacred Primogems are – they can be used to pull on limited-time Character Banner’s and the Standard Banner.

Events will also allow you to obtain useful resources such as Mora, Level-Up Materials and Character Ascension Materials. In some of the larger-scale events, you will earn a limited-time event currency that can be spent in the event’s shop.

The Event Shop will have a wide range of rewards – you’ll see the usual rewards such as Level-Up Materials, Character Ascension Materials, and Mora. There are sometimes special event items too such as limited-time furniture items for your Teapot, or Crown of Insight’s.

When Are Genshin Impact Events Added?

Genshin Impact events are usually added throughout the duration of the current version. For example, the events found in 3.3 were sporadically added to the game throughout the span of the 3.3 update. Most versions of Genshin Impact last around 5-6 weeks.

Keeping track of Genshin Impact events is pretty easy. The game will alert you about a new event with a red circle and exclamation mark next to the Event icon at the top of your screen.

When Do Genshin Impact Events End?

Some events last longer than others, with most lasting around 2 weeks. The event page will have “X amount of days/hours remaining” – this will help you remember how long is left of that event. Once the event has ended you can no longer take part in the quests/challenges, meaning you will have missed out on the free rewards.

However, the events that have an Event Shop will keep the Event Shop open for a few days after the event has finished. This means that you can’t take part in the quests/challenges anymore, but you can spend any remaining event currency in the Event Shop. It’s important that you spend this currency as soon as possible before the Event Shop closes, otherwise the currency you have left will be lost.
