Gem Stack is a game about turning lumps of rock into precious stones. There’s a process to that, and it mainly involves moving along a track, avoiding obstacles and ensuring you’re going to get the best payday when you reach the end of the level.
It might not be the most complex game out there, but there are things you’re going to need to know if you want to get the most out of the experience. And that’s where this strategy guide comes in.
We’ve played a good chunk of the game, and now we’re sharing all we’ve learned with you. Whether you’re just polishing your first rock or you’ve already unlocked a celebrity patron, there’s going to be something here to help you out. These are the best hints, tips and cheats for Gem Stack.
Learn the right order
There’s a specific order you need to follow to turn rocks into precious gems. First you need to pick up the brown lumps, then smash them to reveal their true color. Lastly, send them through one of the blue diamond gates to cut them into the right shape. Only then are they going to be worth a lot.
Keep adding to your stack
You want to keep adding rocks and stones to your stack as you move. Then, when you’ve converted them, you need to polish them up, change their color and add them to pieces of jewellery. The more you do to a stone, the more money it’s going to make you at the end of the level.
Unlock the jewellery
Unlocking jewellery will give you a boost to your cash, and the more cash you earn, the better you’re doing. The same goes for certain hands that you can unlock. You can spend cash in the store to the left of the screen at the start of a level to get new items without watching videos.
Add to your stores
When you’ve got the cash, you should add to the stores and purchases that appear at the end of the level. They’ll buy rocks from you, and you’ll earn more cash when they do. The more stores that are waiting for you, the more you can sell and the more you can earn.
Watch the videos?
There are often videos to increase your cash haul, but it’s best to ignore those. On the other hand, videos that give you new jewellery and hands are well worth considering. Look at the bonus the new item offers, then watch the video if you think it’s going to be worth your while.
