General Tips

  • Power-ups can be found at the top and the bottom of the screen during any level (assumed you purchased any). Simply click on those buttons and the power-up will become active immediately.
GabCab
  • A gas station can be found at any level. When you don’t have purchased any gas power-ups always keep an eye on your gas tank, because manually refilling it costs worthwhile time.
  • If you want to change the next stop of Gabby simply double-click on the preferred building and Gabby will go there directly. The other, previously planned spots won’t be deleted.
  • To cancel any spot in Gabby’s current route simply click on the related stop sign under the building.
  • Be aware of the fact that the gas tips by the monkey are not drawn to your cursor even if you have activated the magnet helper.
  • The borders around customers thought bubbles indicate their patience/happiness. Green is good, yellow is average, and red is low. This border also influences how much dropping off a customer will increase your tip combo meter.
  • Thought bubbles above customers heads indicate their preferred destinations.
GabCab
  • The money you have already earned can be seen in the top left-hand corner of the screen. In the top center of the screen you can see the score meter as well as the time you have left for the current level. In the bottom center of the screen you can see how many customers are currently in your cab and their destinations. In the right-hand bottom corner of the screen the gas tank and the tip combo meter are displayed.
GabCab
  • You have to use your cursor to catch tips that pop up when you drop off customers. Upgrades simplify this task.
  • The route gets automatically rearranged by Gabby when you pick up new customers with varying destinations.
  • If you pass a building which is the preferred destination of a customer already in your cab they might get out of your cab even if you haven’t assigned a stop. Take that into account when using the advertisement or hot spot power-ups.
  • When you pass the gas station on your current route anyway, a stop there can never hurt.
  • Some of the levels have patterns, so if you struggle on a level it might be helpful to pay special attention to which type of customers appear when, and which destination they prefer. With that in mind you can replay the level more effectively.
  • New locations get unlocked by earning stars.
  • To earn five stars you have to reply every level after finishing the game.
  • There are three types of coins you can catch, namely gold, silver, and bronze. Gold coins are naturally worth the most, followed by silver and bronze. Prioritize catching until you have purchased the magnet helper.
  • You can always click on customers to pick them up instead of your assistants if preferred.
  • If you replay earlier levels your new upgrades are still working there, which makes it easier to reach four stars at more challenging levels later on.
  • You are not able to plan more than six stops ahead.
  • It is always helpful to use the hot spot power-up when a lot of customers suddenly pop up at different ends of the map, with greatly variying preferred locations. In that way you can shorten your route.

Upgrades & Power-ups

  • Upgrades can always be sold if you need another one urgently, but don’t have the required amount of money.
  1. Cab Upgrades:
GabCab
  • Cab Upgrades include Gas Tank (1/Fuel), Tires (2/Safety), Seats (3/Comfort), and Engine (4/Speed).
  • The engine upgrades depend on the gas tank upgrades. When you upgrade Gabby’s engine she will driver faster, but will also consume more fuel, so you should always upgrade those two parts at the same time.
  • The seats-upgrades are extremely important because they increase the fares you receive from each customer. Without upgrading it, you will have trouble to reach higher scores later on.
  • The Tires-upgrades are the least important ones. Customers in your cab will be happy most of the time anyway, and if not, you still can use a magic music power-up.
  • All in all, the importance of those upgrades can be ranked this way: 1) Seats – 2) Engine and Gas Tank – 3) Tires
  1. Tips collectors:
GabCab
  • There are three tips collectors you can purchase, the parachutes, the balloons, and the magnet. Purchased collectors are indicated by a green check below the symbol, while the currently used collector is displayed in the central field.
  • Just neglect the parachutes- and balloons-upgrades. Other upgrades are more important in the beginning, and the magnet is much more helpful than those other two collectors. Buy the magnet as soon as you can afford to, and wait to purchase the other collectors when nothing else is left.
  1. Assistants:
GabCab
  • There are four assistants you can purchase, the game bus, the shuttle, the tour bus, and the limo.
  • The Game Bus picks up customers who want to visit any stadium. (But no customers who want to go somewhere else from any stadium)
  • The Shuttle picks up customers who want to go to the airport. (But no customers who want to go somewhere else from the airport)
  • The Tour Bus picks up customers who want to go to the zoo or the Aquarium. (But no customers who want to go somewhere else from zoo/aquarium)
  • The Limo picks up Millionaires.
  • The limo is definitely the most helpful assistant in the beginning, followed by the game bus. Purchase shuttle and tour bus later on when needed.
  1. Power-ups:
GabCab
  • Power-ups include Magic Music, Special Treat, Gas Can, Turbo Speed, Advertisement and Hot Spot.
  • You can purchase three of each power-up at a time, except for the Gas Can, which you can purchase twice. You can use them all at one level and repurchase them for the next, or save them, just as needed.
  • Magic Music: By using this power-up you make the people in your cab happy (and more patient, of course)
  • Special Treat: By activating this power-up people waiting for your cab will regain patience.
  • Gas Can: This power-up will refill the gas tank of Gabby to the maximum immediately.
  • Turbo Speed: By using this power-up Gabby is able to drive faster for some time.
  • Advertisement: This power-up will enable you to choose one building to which every customer will want to go for some time. (NOTE: Except for customers appearing in that building.)
  • Hot Spot: This power-up lets you choose one building where you will receive double tips for a short time.
  • You can still use the Gas Can power-up when your tank is already empty.
  • You can even change your customer’s preferred destination the gas station, which helps you to kill two birds with one stone – earning money and refilling your gas tank at the same time.
  • It is highly efficient to use the Turbo Speed/Advertisement/Hot Spot power ups at the same time. This way everyone will want to go to the same building, where you will also receive double tips, and thanks to your increased speed you will be able to drop off more customers there while the power-ups are still activated.
  • Don’t hesitate to buy as many power-ups as possible from the beginning on, and use them. They will make your life much easier, and you will earn more money quickly.

  • Hot Spot power-ups should mainly be used when high- and medium-tippers are in your cab. Never use a Hot Spot power-up while delivering a Grease Monkey, it won’t help you at all to reach your goal.
  • Try to pick up customers with low patience first always. Customers with high and medium patience don’t mind to wait a bit longer, and you can still use power ups to increase their patience if needed.
  • When you use a hot spot power-up while having purchased the limo assistant, pick up millionaires yourself nevertheless. Gabby drives quicker than the limo later on, and this way you assure that you will receive double tips from the millionaires.

  25. Dedicated Driver: Awarded for playing any level 5 or more times.
  • Most of the awards you will receive rather automatically, especially if you replay the game to earn 5 stars. However, for a couple of them you have to pay attention actively.
  • For the “Running on Fumes”-award you can simply wait with your last customer until the timer has run out, and drive around until the gas tank is nearly empty. Then you can drop off the customer.
  • For the “Self-Service”-award you should replay the first couple of levels a few times. Here you should be able to finish levels with the help of the gas power-up, and without needing to stop at the gas station.
  • For the “Super Shuttle”-award it is helpful to keep your Advertisement power-ups for the last 90 seconds of a level. Of course longer levels are more convenient for this award than shorter ones. Keep in mind which building was the most wanted in that level and then use all your Advertisement power-ups on that building for the last 90 seconds.
  • For the “Steady Hands”-award the first week of the first three locations are recommendable. Be sure to avoid dropping off customers at different locations at the same time, so that it is manageable for you to catch all tips.
