So you’re pretty good at Football Strike by now. You’ve got the hang of all three game modes and feel comfortable risking some of your hard-earned coins against players because you know you’ll win more matches than you lose. That’s good.

Still, your skills and reflexes will only take you so far before you run into players who have a leg up over you. Why is that? Because they have better stats than your player and goalkeeper do, so they start every showdown with advantages in things like shot power, accuracy and curve.

You don’t have to just sit back and accept that as an inevitability, though. There are simple ways to improve all of your stats in Football Strike, ensuring that you’re on a level playing field with your opponents, or possibly even the one with an edge.

Sounds good, right? Let’s get started.

How to Improve Your Player Stats

Your field player is used in every game mode, so getting him powered up should definitely be one of your priorities. Thankfully, it’s not that difficult, and is something you can do just by playing regularly.

Football Strike

Your Football Strike player has three stats that can be improved:

  • Shot Power: The raw speed at which you can shoot by swiping faster.
  • Shot Accuracy: Helps the ball travel more precisely in any direction you choose to swipe.
  • Shot Curve: Enables you to better curve the ball around obstacles or make it trickier for opposing keepers to track down — often both!

All stats can be improved directly by finding their respective cards. You’ll need more of those cards to level up each time, so while it only takes two cards to take Shot Power from level 1 to level 2, subsequent levels take more.

But that’s only half the stat picture. The other thing that helps determine how good your stats are is the ball that you use. Yep, they aren’t just there for cosmetic purposes. You can see which balls you have available by tapping on the ‘Customize’ button on the lower nav bar, then the ‘Balls’ icon right below the one for Stats. Here you’ll see which balls you have unlocked, their current impact on your stats and how many cards you need to level them up — because they work via cards too — as well as which tier you’ll need to explore to unlock more soccer balls.

So where can you find cards to boost your stats and level up your soccer balls? Inside the bags you get as reward for winning matches, mostly. You can also but soccer ball cards directly from the Ball Shop (which will cost you Cash) or take your chances with Elite Bags.

How to Improve Your Goalkeeper Stats

Making your goalie better is even simpler because there’s just one stat: Goalkeeping. We assume it makes your keeper faster and more responsive to your swipes. But what we know for sure is that you need to find Goalkeeping cards to make his skill level higher.

What about your goalkeeper’s gloves? As it turns out, those are just cosmetic. You’ll definitely unlock more of them by opening bags as you play more Football Strike, but they don’t have any impact on how good your keeper is at keeping the ball out of your net.

We hope you’ve found these stats tips useful and are on your way to getting more capable players and goalkeepers that will help you win more matches. You may also want to check out our general Football Strike tips and cheats, or our advice on how to earn more coins for free.
