It’s tempting to kick the ball as hard as you possibly can, but it’s not really going to help you out. Instead you want to be gentle with your shots, rather than hammering them.
A lot of the other tips and tricks in this guide need you to have learned this skill, so take your time and be soft with your kicks. Once you’ve learned that, it’s time to move on to the next tricks.
One of the most important things to learn in Folf is that you don’t need to wait for the ball to stop to make your next shot. That can really help you out of some sticky situations, especially in the later levels of the game.
When there are obstacles in the way of the hole, kicking the ball past them and then nudging it in to score is a great way to finish the level. There might be ways of completing a challenge in a single shot, but more often than not playing it safe is the best course of action.
Much like in crazy golf, using the walls of the course to your advantage is really important. Bouncing the ball opens up a whole new bunch of angles for you to exploit, which is exactly what you’re going to need.
Take your time to line up your shots, and think about where the ball is going to ricochet to when you release. The game isn’t a race, so take your shots carefully and don’t waste them.
The game features balls of death that kill you when you touch them, no matter how many shots you’ve got left. They move along set patterns though, so you can watch them a couple of times to figure out where they’re going to be.
