Game Elements/Basic Game Play

Flight Control

Flight Control
  • When you start the game you can set your favorite music and then choose from several different levels of Airstrip to play.
  • There will be different color coded runways and helicopter landing pads on the screen.
  • Right before a plane enters the area you will see a red “!” symbol shown in image above. This is warning you that another plane will be coming from this area.
  • You need to match the color of the aircraft to the color of the landing area.
  • Touch the plane with your finger and draw a path from the aircraft to the runway.
  • More and more aircraft will begin to enter the airspace zone.
  • If two Aircrafts are in danger of colliding a red zone will surround the Aircrafts and these are known as “Proximity warnings” If you are fast you can change the path of one of the aircraft quickly to avoid a collision.
  • When you draw the line it is at first seen as a dotted line then it turns to a solid line. If you have correctly connected the aircraft to the runway the aircraft will turn white. This means if nothing gets in the way it is going to land and you will get credit for a successful landing.
  • Along the top of the screen is a counter that keeps track of successful landings.
  • As soon as any aircraft collides the game is over and you will see your score.
  • The game will keep track of your high score for each Airfield.

Types of Airfields

  • There are currently 5 types of Airfields in the game with different levels of difficulty and obstacles.
  • The first Airfield is the easiest and best to practice with when you are learning.
  • The second Airfield (Hawaii with a water Landing Strip) has many more aircraft coming into the area at once.
  • The third Airfield is known as “Top Secret” and has landing strips very close together in different directions making it very difficult.
  • The fourth Airfield is the “Outback Airfield” and it has Emergency Aircraft. Emergency Aircraft does NOT need to be guided and it will show a blue dotted line to the nearest landing area. You must not interfere with its landing or let it collide with other aircraft.
  • The fifth and final Airfield is called the “Windy Airfield” and it is very difficult. There is a Windsock in the center of the screen to show you which way the wind is blowing. If the wind begins to blow in the same direction as the runways it will cause the runway to become inactive. This makes things very challenging as you must keep the aircraft in the air without colliding with other aircraft until the wind changes direction causing the runway to light up and becomes active again. There are also several types of aircraft coming from all directions on top of the wind challenge.

Types of Aircraft

Flight Control

  • Jets – These are red and will need to be guided to a red runway. When successful they will turn white until they land.
  • Helicopters – These are blue and land on a Helicopter landing pad with an “H” with a circle around it. It will turn white when you have drawn a successful path to land it.
  • Biplanes – These are Gold in color and need to be guided to the gold landing strips. When guided correctly they will turn white before landing.
  • Emergency Aircraft – These are large white planes with a blue circle around them. You do not guide these and will see a blue dotted line that shows its flight path and you will need to make sure nothing collides with it.

Fast Forward Feature

Flight Control

  • Want even more of a challenge? Set the game to Fast Forward!
  • This is found at the bottom left of the screen. Tap on the “>>” symbol once and things will speed up but if a proximity warning occurs anywhere on the screen it will stop the fast forward.
  • If you do not want the Fast Forward to stop when there is a proximity warning making the game yet even more difficult, double tap on the Fast Forward button to lock in the feature for the length of the turn.
