Hidden inside the void is the Fisch Void Wood! This otherworldly material is more important than you might think.

Void Wood is a legendary crafting material required to make the Voyager Rod. It resembles Driftwood but is black all over with patches of purple. Its description is “Believed to channel the mysteries of the Void, its wood pulses with an enigmatic, otherworldly energy.”
You can fish up this material inside of Keeper’s Altar, The Depths, and the Desolate Deep. Many players are saying that it is more commonly found inside of Keeper’s Altar, so I recommend heading there first!
It has no preferences, meaning you can use any bait, and it will appear at any time, weather condition, or season. Although this seems like a good thing, it can make catching it a little trickier, as you can’t nail down the specifics to make it appear.
Once you have Void Wood, you will be able to craft the Voyager Rod! If you aren’t sure how to craft rods, check out the guide linked above.
In summary, you’ll need to open the Ancient Archives by collecting all 4 Fragments and opening the door with the help of 3 other players. If that didn’t sound tricky enough, you can only open this area during an Eclipse!
