The Trident Rod sits in the depths of the Desolate Deep and takes a lot of time and cash to obtain. First, you’ll want to gear up in a scuba kit to survive the depths and have enough oxygen. Next, head past Sunstone Island and behind it until you see a large red bouy, here you’re able to plunge into the depths and swim into a cave nearby.
On the other side, you’ll have made it to the Desolate Deep. Before you’re even able to see the Trident Rod, you should complete the entire Bestiary for this area.
With the Bestiary complete, follow the walls lined with spikes and head onto the rock protruding that hangs over a pool. With your scuba gear equipped, dive in and swim into the tightly condensed cave. When you surface, you’ll see a door with an eye carved into it with five pedestals before it.
For each pedestal, forfeit an Enchant Relic which opens the door when all five are placed. Attempting to place the Enchant Relics before completing your Bestiary for Desolate Deep will show a popup and nothing else will happen. However, once the door opens, you’ll be able to head inside and see the Trident Rod for sale for a hefty 150,000C$.
