How to get the Shrouded mutation.
The Fisch Shrouded mutation isn’t the easiest to get, despite having three obtainment methods. One of which is the Fisch Elder Mossripper rod! Explore the new jungle island in Fisch.
The Shrouded mutation increases the selling value of a fish by 7.5x! You also need it when crafting the Elder Mossripper fishing rod. More specifically, you need a Golden Sea Pearl with the Shrouded mutation. The Elder Mossripper rod grants you a higher chance of getting the Shrouded mutation with future catches.
There are three different ways of getting the Shrouded mutation in Fisch. One is definitely the simpler option, though it still takes some work as it relies on RNG. Let’s go over each possible obtainment method.
By obtaining and using the Elder Mossripper rod to fish, you have a 20% chance of catching a fish with the Shrouded mutation. The thing is, this is a pretty tricky fishing rod to get due to the rare items you need to collect when crafting it at the Ancient Archives.
Travel to the Lost Jungle and fish in any of the pools of water around the island to be in with a chance of randomly catching a fish with the Shrouded mutation. As you can imagine, this is a pretty rare occurrence, so it isn’t always the most efficient. But it’s the easiest when you compare it to the effort behind obtaining the Elder Mossripper fishing rod.
Like many other mutations in Fisch, you need to speak with the Appraiser NPC on Moosewood Island. There are quite a few possible mutations, so there’s a slim chance of you getting solely the Shrouded mutation. Plus, it costs in-game coins to Appraise your catches, which is usually 30% of the current value of the fish. The Shrouded mutation itself has a 0.03% chance of appearing.
