Coordinates are used for whatever you want to keep track of! But, they have one major use involving finding hidden treasure maps.
The GPS is the one item in the game that provides you with coordinates of your current location. It’s mostly used to keep track of certain NPCs or locations. For example, a random NPC that doesn’t stand around the main hub of an island or a hotspot for a specific type of fish. The latter can also benefit from you purchasing and activating a Fish Radar!
To obtain a GPS, you can purchase one in Moosewood by the pond. Or, go to Mushgrove Swamp and find the outlook tower. Climb up the ladder to where the NPC is, and you’ll spot the GPS that you can buy. Both locations charge you 100 Coins for the item.
Another main use of coordinates in Fisch is to find the location of treasure chests on a treasure map! When you first get a treasure map, you can see the beginning of a set of coordinates, with the last 2 replaced by question marks.
To get the rest of the coordinates, you must visit the Jack Marrow NPC in Forsaken Shores. Once you have the full set, it’s time to find the location where the coordinates land! The only way to do this is by using the GPS item. Once you activate it, you can see the coordinates at the bottom of your screen. Double-check the treasure map, spawn a boat of your choice, and sail away.
