Fisch Colossal Ancient Dragon Stats and Preferences

The Colossal Ancient Dragon hails from the Crimson Cavern as an Exotic find (luck-favouring). To encounter and catch one, you must wait for a Colossal Ancient Dragon hunt to trigger within the area, marked by a small square where the beast is currently located.

Like other hunts, this one can be forced to spawn with enough uses of a Sundial Totem. Once begun, the hunt remains active for 15 minutes, or until a player captures the Colossal Ancient Dragon.

The Colossal Ancient Dragon has the following preferences and stats:

• Resilience: 10 (Hard)
• Progress Speed: -95%
• Weather: Clear
• Time: None
• Season: Spring and Summer
• Bait: Shark Head
  • UFO Bait is helpful when capturing, due to its 70% Resilience, even if not preferred by the fish.

Recommended Rod

Given this monster’s insane resilience and massively tanked progress speed, most rods can’t keep up with its whipping across the screen. So, this means your options are, unfortunately, end-game only, excluding a large population of players from encountering and capturing this fish anytime soon.

Ruinous Oath

This rod has an incredible passive that helps offset the progress speed, having a 5% chance to fill up the progress bar by 2% every 0.25 seconds. Slash chances also increase by 8% every second, which temporarily slows down lured fish.

The best passive that this rod hosts, making it the best choice for the Colossal Ancient Dragon, is its 15% chance to instantly fill up the progress bar by 80% as soon as you enter the catch minigame. Alongside this, the rod has the following stats:

• Lure Speed: 95%
• Luck: 500%
• Control: 0.08 (38% Width)
• Resilience: 25%
• Max Weight: Infinite KG
• Line Distance: 150m
