The elusive Fisch Brick Rod has players going full investigative mode as they search for new clues regarding whether the rod even exists.

Can you find the Brick Rod in Fisch? Search for something that’s much easier to get (sort of), by reading our How to Find Fisch Resin guide! It’s a Secret rarity item that the Bubble Mermaid at the Grand Reef asks for.

Fisch Brick Rod

If you’re a member of the official Fisch Discord server, you’ll have seen the strange brick emojis that kept appearing in the announcement/update channels. At first, there was confusion, but now we know that it’s all for the new brick rod! The only clue is that the quest is from a ‘random NPC on a random island’ – a bit vague, right?

How to Get the Brick Rod

Follow these steps! If you miss any of them, it won’t work.

1. Find 3 Bricks and Enter the Code

There are now random bricks located across various islands. Upon interacting with them, a message now appears on some rocks on Moosewood island (Coords: 360, 120, 180) and there is a code on the wall in the Trident Room at the Desolate Pocket. Enter this message and code into the in-game chat box!

  • Ancient Isle
    • The same room as the Phoenix Rod at Ancient Isles
  • The Depths
    • At the bottom of the rocks nearby to the Merchant NPC
  • Roslit Volcano
    • At the top of Roslit Volcano mountain and the end of a path to the left

2. Get a Title

There are 8 titles in total that change every hour. Luckily, most of them aren’t too difficult to get, and you probably already have a few. Chosen by Zeus is probably the trickiest to get.

  • Lady of the Sea
    • Catch 1K fish
  • God of the Seas
    • Catch 5K fish
  • Made in Heaven
    • Use 5 Sundial Totems
  • Vigilante
    • Give the mushroom NPC at Mushgrove Swamp an Alligator (Legendary rarity)
  • True Hakari
    • Appraise a fish until it gets a Mutation
  • Extinct
    • Get defeated by a falling Meteor
  • Chosen by Zeus
    • Get struck by lightning during a Zeus Storm
  • Poseidon’s Blessing
    • Catch a Wrath fish (this Mutation can only be caught during a Poseidon Wrath event within Poseidon’s Temple in Atlantis)

The current known order is: Extinct, Vigilante, Lady of the Sea, God of the Seas, True Hakari, Made in Heaven, Chosen by Zeus, and Poseidon’s Blessing.

3. Set Your Spawn

In order for this process to work, you need to make sure your spawn is set to the Desolate Deep.

4. Totems

You must have a Smokescreen and Sundial Totem in your inventory.

  • Smokescreen
    • Mushgrove Swamp (2K coins)
  • Sundial
    • Sunstone Cave (2K coins)

5. Travel to Harvester’s Spike in the Summer

Yep, the season has to be summer as you make your way to Harvester’s Spike. This is a small island close by to Roslit Bay in the ocean!

Once you arrive at Harvester’s Spike, and it’s the summer season, you then need to use both the Smokescreen and Sundial Totems to activate the nighttime and foggy weather.

6. Speak With Minish During a Foggy Night With a Pufferfish

When it is the nighttime, the weather is foggy, and the season is set to summer, an NPC appears. This is a glowing purple NPC named Minish! Hold a Pufferfish and speak with him to be teleported to the Brick Rod Room.

  • You cannot be teleported if you do not have the correct title equipped, you haven’t interacted with all 3 bricks, found the Moosewood message and Trident Room code, and set your spawn to the Desolate Deep

Once you’re in the Brick Rod Room, you can walk up to the fishing rod to purchase it for 13,337 Coins!

Is the Brick Rod Worth it?

Let’s see if the rod is worth all of the prerequisites.

Stats

  • Luck: 75%
  • Maximum Kg: Infinite
  • Control: 0.35
  • Lure: 0%
    • You can fix this by enchanting the rod with Hasty!
  • Resilience: 35%

Passive Ability

The main appeal of the Brick Rod is the fact that its passive ability has a 100% chance of applying the Studded Mutation to all fish. This Mutation increases the selling value of the fish by 2x, which is a pretty good deal. Plus, the Mutation looks cool, as it makes all your catches look like they’re Lego bricks.
