Are you struggling with fishing in Fire Emblem Engage? Not to worry, we’ve created a Fire Emblem Engage Fishing guide to help you get the hang of it. In this guide, we’ll teach you where you can fish, as well as how to master it.

Fire Emblem Engage is a new tactical RPG released by Intelligent Systems for the Nintendo Switch. The game is a continuation of the popular Fire Emblem franchise. The game focuses around the Divine Dragon, who you play as, fighting alongside legendary heroes. Play through the game’s immersive storyline, meet a bunch of likeable characters, and dive into the tactical combat.

You can find out more about the game on the Fire Emblem Engage page on the Nintendo website. If you can’t get enough Fire Emblem Engage content, have a read of our Fire Emblem Engage tier list, Fire Emblem Engage rings guide, and our Fire Emblem Engage classes guide.

We’ll now dive into the guide at hand. We’ve broken it down into a few different sections to make reading easier for you.

Where Can You Fish?

If you’ve never fished before, you might be wondering where you can start. That’s OK though – just head to The Somniel and walk towards the pond. Here, you’ll be able to start fishing.

Fire Emblem Engage Fishing Guide

Fishing in Fire Emblem Engage, as it turns out, is relatively easy.

Once you begin the mini-game, you’ll notice that you’re watching your hook float peacefully in the water. What you’re waiting for, though, is for your hook to be yanked by an unsuspecting fish. When this happens, tap A as quickly as possible.

After tapping A, you’ll be taken to a different camera angle. You’ve got to be ready for a new window to pop up, which shows a fish swimming upwards.

If you’re quick enough, you’ll be able to catch the fish by pulling down on your left stick before the fish can swim past the light blue area of the window. Ideally, you’ll pull on the joystick as the fish is directly on the line.

After this, you’ll watch your character reel in the fish, and a new window will pop up to explain what fish it is!

The Fish Guide

One last thing that we should cover is that there is a fish guide in the game.

You’ll notice that when you go to play the fishing mini-game at the pond, you’ll have the option of selecting the “fish guide”. This guide will tell you what reward each fish gives you, as well as if they can be used as a meal ingredient.

The ultimate goal of the fishing mini-game is to collect all of the fish that’s inside the fish guide.

We should also mention that you can only fish three times a day. Luckily, this can be reset by going to sleep in Alear’s bedroom.
