Welcome to the Fiction Fixers: Adventures in Wonderland walkthrough on Gamezebo. Fiction Fixers: Adventures in Wonderland is a hidden object game played on PC created by Fugazo. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide to how to complete Fiction Fixers: Adventures in Wonderland.

General Information

Main Menu

  • The Play button starts the game with the currently selected profile.
  • The Not You? button at the bottom-right corner of the main menu opens the profile window where profiles can be selected, added or deleted.
  • The Hansel & Gretel button becomes active after the game has been completed. This mini-adventure is only available on the premium edition of the game.
  • The Extras button opens a window which shows a list of achievements that can be unlocked by playing the game. The Credits button can be selected at the top-left corner of the extras screen. The tabs at the bottom of the extras screen can be selected to show pages for achievements, the cards that have been collected and also a page where different wallpapers and screensavers can be chosen.
  • The Options button opens a window where there are slider bars to adjust music, sound and voice volumes. There is also an option to switch between windowed and full screen mode.
  • The Strategy Guide book can be selected from the top-left corner of the main menu on the premium edition of this game.
  • The Quit button exits the game if Quit is selected or returns to the main menu if Cancel is selected.


How to Play

  • The default cursor in the game is the yellow arrow. Move the cursor around the screen until it changes. A magnifying glass will appear over objects that can be examined for a description. A hand icon will appear over objects that can be picked up. A speech bubble icon will appear over characters that can be talked to. Directional arrows appear over doorways and other exits to indicate that a new area can be accessed. Single left click to perform an action when one of these icons appears.
  • The map screen is opened by clicking the button at the top-left corner of the game window. This useful screen displays all of the locations that have been visited in the game so far. It also displays the current location, any active items and mini-games and also any hidden object scenes.
  • The dossier screen is opened by clicking the dossier at the bottom-left corner of the game window. The dossier displays notes and clues that are added as you progress through the game. The current playing time is also displayed at the bottom of the dossier screen. Completing the game in under 3 hours unlocks an achievement.
  • Objects that are found in the game are added to a slot in the inventory, which is opened by moving the mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen. Move the mouse cursor over an object and its name will be displayed. Click on an object in the inventory and it will be added to the cursor; this object can now be used on another object in the game.
  • There are 52 playing cards to find throughout the game. Some of them are hidden in quite obvious locations while others are more difficult to see. Finding all of the cards unlocks an achievement.
  • Hidden object scenes are accessed by selecting a sparkling area. The list of objects that need to be found is shown at the bottom of the screen in these areas. Most of the objects that need to be found are different each time the game is played. The exception to this rule are objects that are added to the inventory after the scene is completed, as these objects are always in the same place every time that the game is played.
  • After a hint has been used, it takes one minute for the hint button to become active again. Completing the game without using any hints unlocks an achievement.
  • Clicking too quickly in a hidden object scene causes the cursor to become green for five seconds. No objects can be selected while the cursor is green.
  • In mini-games, it takes one minute for the skip button to become active. Skipping a mini-game adds ten minutes to the total playing time. Completing the game without skipping any mini-games unlocks an achievement.

Walkthrough

Entering the story

The game starts in the office. The following objects are on the table:

Select the dossier, the fictionizer, the map and then the book to travel to field. Examine the patch of grass:

In the close-up view, select the four bundles of grass to reveal the rabbit hole. Examine the rabbit hole to enter it.


Down the rabbit hole

Select 20 heavy objects while falling down the rabbit hole. The heavy objects will move slowly down while the lighter objects will float up. An example of the type of objects that need to be selected is shown below:

There is no penalty here for clicking any of the lighter objects. The Illiterati agent will put sharp objects in the pile of leaves at the bottom of the rabbit hole. Examine the pile of leaves to enter a hidden object scene. Find the hedge trimmers and the chisel:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the hedge trimmers and the chisel. Alice will now land safely in the pile of leaves. Take the two playing cards and the large watch gear:

Talk to Alice: She wants to find the white rabbit. Move back-right to the glass table room. Take the two playing cards and the medium watch gear:

Examine the bottle on the table to play a mini-game:

The aim in the mini-game is to copy the sequence by selecting the vials in the same order. You will need to select three vials, four vials and then five vials. After completing the mini-game, take the shrinking potion on the table. Give the potion to Alice and she will shrink. Move down to the glass chest to see Alice. Take the two playing cards and the button:

Examine the box to enter a hidden object scene. Find the Wonderland key and the cupcake:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the large iron key and the magical growth cake. Give the magical growth cake to Alice and she will grow. Give the shrinking potion to Alice and she will return to her normal size. Move right to the hall of doors. Examine the floor to play the tile mini-game. Tiles are fixed into place once they have been placed in the correct positions. Put the tiles in the positions shown below:

After completing the mini-game, examine the floor to view a tile. Use the chisel on the tile and then select the tile to remove it. Use the button on the hole. Select the button and the curtains will open. Examine the far left door to see a keyhole. Use the large iron key on the keyhole and the discs will rotate. Rotate the discs to reform the keyhole. The number of times that each disc should be clicked is shown below:

Take the two playing cards and the two small watch gears:

Go through the left doorway to arrive at the fork in the road.

Fix the rabbit’s watch

Take the three playing cards:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the watch gear and the magnet. Select the map button at the top-left corner of the screen for a tutorial on the types of locations that are available on the map. Close the map and move back to the fork in the road. Examine the mouse hole:

In the close-up view, use the magnet on the object in the mouse hole to take the hammer. Move back and left to the room with the pile of leaves. Examine the blue cupboard:

In the close-up view, use the hammer on the two boards. Select the handle on the cupboard to open it and the wooden sign will be added to the inventory. Move back-right, right and then go through the left doorway to return to the fork in the road. Examine the post:

Use the wooden sign on the post. Move forward on the left path to see the rabbit. Take the three playing cards and the two gears:

Talk to the rabbit to view his watch. Put the seven gears in the following positions and then press the button:

Give the fan and gloves to the rabbit

Move forward-left to the wood path to see that thick trees are blocking the way. Take the three playing cards:

Move back four times and left to the pile of leaves. Examine the leaves to enter a hidden object scene. Find the saw:

The large stick will be added to the inventory. Move forward-left on the path to see the giant puppy. Give the large stick to the puppy. Examine the puppy and select 10 bugs as they move across the fur. Take the two playing cards, gem, rusty door knob and bugs:

Move back to the wood path. Examine the spider web at the left side of the area. In the close-up view, give the bugs to the spider and it will move. Take the toolbox key:

Move back to the rabbit house. Examine the toolbox on the porch. Use the toolbox key on the padlock to unlock it. Open the toolbox and take the oil can. Examine the door to the house. Use the rusty door knob on the hole. Use the oil can on the rusty door knob to open the door. Move forward into the house. Take the two playing cards and then examine the safe:

Open the dossier and turn to the last page to see a 5-digit number. Close the dossier and enter this number on the safe keypad to open the safe. Take the fan and gloves from the safe. Examine Alice and she will grow large. Examine the floor at the bottom-right corner of the room to enter a hidden object scene. Find the strange cake and the minute hand:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the bug-shaped key. Go downstairs. Give the strange cake to Alice and she will return to her normal size. Move forward to exit the house. Give the fan and gloves to the rabbit.

Enter the duchess’ house

Move back twice to return to the hall of doors. Examine the blue door and use the bug-shaped key in the keyhole. Rotate the discs to reform the keyhole. The number of times that each disc should be clicked is shown below:

Move forward through the doorway to meet the caterpillar. Take the two playing cards:

Examine the red mushroom to enter a hidden object scene. Find the strange pipe, green gem and fishing pole:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the strange pipe, special-shaped gem and the fishing pole. Give the strange pipe to the caterpillar to play a mini-game where all of the animals have to be moved across the river. Follow the movements below to complete the riddle:

  • Move two cats right.
  • Move one cat left.
  • Move two cats right.
  • Move one cat left.
  • Move two mice right.
  • Move one cat and one mouse left.
  • Move two mice right.
  • Move one cat left.
  • Move two cats right.
  • Move one cat left.

The very pretty key will be added to the inventory. Move back-left to return to the hall of doors. Examine the far right door and use the very pretty key on the keyhole. Rotate the discs to reform the keyhole. The number of times that each disc should be clicked is shown below:

Go through the far right doorway to arrive outside the duchess’ house. Take the two playing cards and the ladder:

Move back to the hall of doors and go through the far left doorway. Move forward and forward-left twice to return to the giant puppy. Examine the pond at the left side of the puppy. In the close-up view, use the fishing pole on the pond to catch a fish. Move back to the wood path. Use the ladder on the nest in the tree:

Examine the nest. In the close-up view, give the fish to the bird to reveal an envelope. Take the envelope. Move back three times to the hall of doors and go through the far right door. Give the envelope to the frog and the door to the house will open. Go through the doorway to enter the duchess’ house.

Make the soup for the duchess

Take the two playing cards:

Examine the portrait on the wall to play a tile mini-game. Slide the tiles into the correct positions to make the portrait shown below:

The portrait will slide down to reveal a cupboard on the wall. Open the cupboard and then examine it to enter a hidden object scene. Find the ruby:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the special-shaped gem. Examine the cabinet to enter another hidden object scene. Find the paprika:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the paprika. Move back-left to enter the kitchen. Take the two playing cards, baby rattle and allspice:

Move back-right to the living room. Examine the baby. In the close-up view, give the baby rattle to the baby to receive an ingredient list. Move back-left to the kitchen. Give the ingredient list to the cook and the cupboard will open. Examine the cupboard to enter a hidden object scene. Find the pepper shaker, pepper mill and clock face:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the pepper, pepper mill and clock face. Examine the cauldron on the stove and put the pepper mill, pepper, paprika and allspice on the outlines to play a mini-game. Watch the order in which the objects are illuminated and then copy the sequence. There are four rounds of the mini-game to complete. After completing the mini-game, the special spicy soup will be added to the inventory. Move back-right to the living room and give the special spicy soup to the duchess.

Find tea cups for the party

Exit the house and move forward on the path at the side of the house. Take the two playing cards and the gem:

Examine the outline of the Cheshire Cat. In the close-up view, select the following buttons in any order:

The wooden sign will be added to the inventory. Move back twice and go through the far left doorway to return to the fork in the road. Examine the post. In the close-up view, use the wooden sign on the post. Move forward-right to the hatter’s tea party. Take the three playing cards:

Move back-left and then back to the hall of doors. Go through the far left door and move forward twice to enter the rabbit’s house. Examine the bottom-right corner of the room to enter a hidden object scene. Find the ladle:

Go downstairs, exit the house and move forward-left to the wood path. Examine the nest and take the green tea cup. Move forward-left to the giant puppy and take the pink tea cup from the pond:

Move back three times to the fork in the road. Use the shovel on the mound:

The blue tea cup will be added to the inventory. Move back to the hall of doors and go through the second door from the right. Talk to the caterpillar to play the mini-game. Follow the directions below.

Round 1: Move down, right, down, left, up, right, down, right and up.

Round 2: Move down, right, down, left, up, right, up, left, down, left, up and right.

Round 3: Move up, right, up, left, down, left and up.

Round 4: Move down, left, up, right, up, left, down, left, up and left.

Round 5: Move right, up, left, up, left, down, right, right, left, down, right, up and left.

Round 6: Move right, right, left, down, right, right, down, left, up, left, down and right to guide the first brother to the exit. Move up, right, up, left, left, down, right, up, down, left, up, right, right, left, down and right to guide the second brother to the exit.

Complete the mini-game and the gold tea cup will be added to the inventory. Move back-left to the hall of doors and go through the far right doorway. Enter the duchess’ house and move back-left to the kitchen. Examine the cauldron in the stove. In the close-up, use the ladle to take the red tea cup. Exit the house and move back to the hall of doors. Go through the far left door and then move forward-right to the tea party. Examine the table and put the tea cups on the plates in the following order:

The hour hand will be added to the inventory.

Find a mallet and play croquet

Move forward to the hatter’s gate. Take the two playing cards:

Examine the mechanism on the gate. In the close-up, use the clock face, hour hand and minute hand on the mechanism. Change the hour hand to II and the minute hand to VI:

Move forward-right through the gate to the tree. Take the two playing cards:

Examine the door on the tree. In the close-up, put the gems on the slots above the door. Examine the door to play a mini-game where the aim is to match gems in the correct order so that they all disappear.

Round 1: Match pink gem columns from left to right.

Round 2: Move the single yellow gem right. Match the remaining green and pink gems.

Round 3: Move the single small blue gem left. Move the single green gem right. Move the single big blue gem right. Match the remaining gems.

Round 4: Match green gem columns from left to right. Match alternating blue and pink gem columns from right to left.

After completing the mini-game, take the heart-shaped key from the door. Return to the hall of doors and examine the second door from the left. Use the hedge trimmers on the four vines. Use the heart-shaped key on the keyhole. Rotate the discs to reform the keyhole. The number of times that each disc should be clicked is shown below:

Go through the doorway to the rose garden. Take the three playing cards and the spear:

Move back-right to the hall of doors. Go through the far left door and move forward twice to enter the rabbit’s house. Examine the shield on the wall:

Use the shield on the spear and then take the red paint from the hole in the wall. Return to the hall of doors and go through the second door from the left. Use the red paint on the three bushes:

Each bush leads to a close-up view where the roses have to be clicked in order to paint them red. The gate will open after all roses have been painted red. Move forward to the path. Take the two playing cards:

Examine the Cheshire Cat to receive the proper mallet. Give the mallet to the queen to play the croquet mini-game. Move the mouse to rotate the arrow, click once to display the strength meter and then click again to hit the ball.

Find the treacle tarts

After completing the croquet mini-game, take the gavel-shaped key on the path:

Move back and back-right to the hall of doors. Examine the middle door and use the gavel-shaped key on the keyhole. Rotate the discs to reform the keyhole. The number of times that each disc should be clicked is shown below:

Go through the middle doorway to enter the trial. The royal seal signet ring is added to the inventory. Take the two playing cards:

Move back to the hall of doors and go through the second door on the left to return to the rose garden. Examine the statue of the queen. In the close-up view, use the signet ring on the slot. Examine the gems to play a mini-game. As before, match the gems to complete the mini-game.

Round 1: Match the groups of gems in the order pink, yellow, big blue and green.

Round 2: Starting with the big blue gems, match the groups of gems from left to right.

Round 3: Match the groups of gems in the order left pink, right yellow, red and green.

Round 4: Match the groups of gems in the order orange, yellow, blue and green.

Round 5: Match the groups of gems in the order left red, big blue, green and small blue.

Complete the mini-game and then take the trumpet. Return to the hall of doors and go through the middle doorway to return to the trial. Give the trumpet to the rabbit. Move back to the hall of doors. Move back and down to the glass chest. Examine the chest to enter a hidden object scene. Find the treacle tart:

Return to the hall of doors and go through the second door from the right to see the caterpillar. Complete the three rounds of the mini-game by moving the trampoline so that the lobsters can bounce into the sea. Another treacle tart will be added to the inventory after the mini-game has been completed. Return to the hall of doors. Go through the far right door and enter the duchess’ house. Select the cabinet to enter a hidden object scene. Find the treacle tart:

Return to the hall of doors and go through the middle door to return to the trial. Examine the table at the right side of the courtroom and put the nine treacle tarts on the table.

Rescue Alice

Move back to the hall of doors and examine the portal on the ceiling to play a mini-game. The aim is to rotate the discs so that all of the power nodes are turned on:

Go through the portal to arrive at the ruins. Take the three playing cards:

Examine the tall pillar to enter a hidden object scene. Find the purple orb and the green orb:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the purple orb and the green orb. Move forward to the castle. Take the two playing cards:

Examine the left gargoyle and use the purple orb on its chest. Examine the right gargoyle and use the green orb on its chest. Examine the door to play a mini-game where the purple and the green orbs need to be switched. The door will open after the mini-game has been completed. Go through the doorway to see three spinning machines. Examining each machine leads to a hidden object scene where all of the objects are random. Complete the three hidden object scenes and then select Alice to complete the game.

Walkthrough for Hansel and Gretel

Hansel and Gretel is a mini-adventure available in the premium version of the game. Start by selecting the dossier on the table to read about the adventure and then select the book to enter the story. The mini-adventure starts on the forest path. Examine the path to enter a hidden object scene. Find the key:

Use the key on the chest to open it. Take the ball of yarn from the chest. Give the ball of yarn to the cat and the bird will fly away. Move forward-left to the gingerbread house. Examine the roof of the house to enter a hidden object scene. Find the gingerbread man:

Find the remaining objects on the list to receive the gingerbread man. Examine the door of the house and use the gingerbread man on the outline. Place the items to make the right gingerbread man look the same as the left gingerbread man.

Enter the house to meet Gretel. Examine the door to see a padlock. Exit the view of the door. Move back-left to exit the house. Take the firewood:

In the close-up view, give the shiny glass shard to the crow to receive the strange key. Examine the lock on the cage. Use the strange key on the keyhole to play a mini-game. The aim in the mini-game is to rotate the peppermint sticks so that the key can be turned. After completing the mini-game, examine the bush to enter a hidden object scene. Find the flint:
