Everything is Fine is a tough, exciting action game that’s going to challenge you in plenty of different ways. While that can be a lot of fun, if you find yourself stuck on the game then don’t worry, because we’ve got your back.

We’re written this guide that’s packed full of the best hints, tips and tricks for Everything is Fine. Whether you’ve already started on your Everything is Fine journey or you’ve just picked the game up for the first time, there’s going to be something here that’s going to help you out of a tricky situation.

There are helpful suggestions here for both Endless and Campaign mode, and if you follow them we reckon you’re going to have a much easier time with some of Everything is Fine’s more challenging enemies.

Focus on boosts that get you more ammo

It might seem like a good idea to up your health at the start of the game, but that’s not actually the case. One of the rarest things to find in Everything is Fine is ammo, and if you run out of that you’re going to be in an awful lot of trouble. That means that when you’re getting started you should always be on the lookout for consumables and upgrades that are going to get you more ammo. Trust us, it’s going to help in the long run.

Take out smaller enemies first

Monsters like Panic and Paranoia are big and scary, and you might think that getting them out of the way first is the best way to clear a level. That’s not the case though. When there are big critters in play, try and take down the smaller foes first. This is going to get you more ammo and consumables, which will make you stronger when it’s time to take down the more powerful enemies. Play smart and you’re in with a better chance of winning.

Don’t waste powerups in endless mode

Just because a power-up gets dropped in endless mode, don’t think that you need to use it straight away. The infinite ammo boost, for example, can clear a level super quick, but if you’re using it against weaker enemies then you’re wasting it. Save your special powers for when you come up against bigger enemies and you’ll be in a much better position to succeed than if you waste them on minnows.

Wait for Piercing Light

Piercing Light is one of, if not the most powerful upgrade in the game. If you’re really struggling with Endless mode, play through the Campaign until you get Piercing Light. You can take upgrades you collect in the Campaign mode into Endless when they’re unlocked, so come back with more firepower and you’re going to be slaughtering enemies left, right and centre.

Keep an eye out for money-saving boosts

There’s a boost in the game that cuts down the price of purchases by 20%. If you want to buy something expensive from the shop, it’s a really good idea to wait until you’ve found that boost before throwing your cash down. You’ll be surprised at how much you’ll save and how much quicker you’ll get the big guns.

Don’t splurge on the Portal charm

This is meant as a helpful boost if you get stuck in some of the tougher later levels between 16 and 30, but that doesn’t mean you need to spend all of your coins on it straight away. Instead it’s better to embrace the difficulty and roguelike aspect of the game and work your way through the earlier levels instead. Get Portal when you’ve picked up other much more useful powers.
