Welcome to Gamezebo’s walkthrough for EcoRescue: Project Rainforest.

OVERVIEW:

See how much fun making a difference can be in EcoRescue: Project Rainforest. This hidden object game puts you in charge of saving the planet by rescuing the rainforests. Your job will be to clean up the mess we’ve left behind, rescue endangered animals, and solve original puzzles.

Earth’s rainforests, home to more than half of the world’s plants and animal species, are in danger of disappearing from deforestation, pollution, and other unnatural forces.

You will visit locations such as the Pacific Northwest, Southeast Asia, South America Central America, and Africa. Along the way, you will learn about each rainforest, its benefits, and how we all can protect and preserve them for generations to come.

Object Finder Cleanup

Find 9 hidden objects listed on the bottom of the screen in order to clean up the rainforest

Habitat Builder

This is a jigsaw-like puzzle of various habitats found in the rainforests.
To fill up the Habitat Builder puzzle, you will need to click and hold to drag each piece to the puzzle space.
To rotate a piece, you can either right click or use the space bar while you are dragging the piece.
Since you are all such great puzzle players, I’m only going to show you the before and after pictures.
There’s no pressure to see how fast you can finish if so take your time and enjoy. If you should happen to get stuck, go to the forum and we’ll help you out.

GENERAL TIPS

You can change the sound and music levels plus decide to play in full-screen or windowed mode.
There is no timer so you have plenty of time to enjoy the scenery.
Once you have created your Profile, you will need to select it and "Load" it each time you play the game.
Be careful that you do not "Delete" your Profile or you will have to restart the game.
There are unlimited hints but the timer is sort of slow.
Click the Menu Button to save your progress in the game.
There is no "Pause Button" so you can either minimize or save and exit.
You cannot go back and replay any of the puzzles and once you’ve completed the game, your profile is deleted.

The main threat is deforestation for Palm Oil farming.
Palm Oil is used to make products such as soap, chocolate and lipstick.
Biofuel farming and manufacture is becoming a new threat.
Borneo is home to some of the few remaining orangutan populations.

South America: Amazon

The South American rainforest is the world’s largest and is shared by 9 countries.
There are approximately 2.47 acres to a hectare.
Hundreds of thousands of hectares of forests have been destroyed to make way for large hydro-electric dams.
The dams are leading to coastal erosion, toxic pollution, and elimination of livable forest land.

Farmers have pushed their way into rainforest areas in Peru because they have been pushed off their own land.
They are burning and clearing land but the soil does not remain fertile so they move on and clear more land.

Vast areas of rainforest are being cleared for food crops and cattle ranching.
Once again as the soil becomes no longer fertile, the farmers move on.
With cattle ranching, the land quickly becomes damages so it is no longer useful and they move on leaving barren land.

The main threat to these rainforests is people……too many visitors.
The monkey population has adapted to garbage feeding by the tourists.
Clearing for roadways and waterway pollution have become major problems.

Africa: The Congo

West Africa’s rainforests have been nearly destroyed by roads, mining, deforestation and unsustainable farming.
This area is one of the world’s most threatened ecosystems.
A national moratorium on logging was established in 2002 but it is being ignored.
The Congo rainforest provides food, building materials and medicines to approximately 40 million of their people.

Copper, Manganese and Coltan as well as many other highly sought after minerals are found in the rainforest here.
Mining has moved into the rainforest.
Poaching of Elephants and Pygmy Hippopotamus and other activities by some possibly 20,000 people illegally living in Sapo National Park has lead to additional destruction of the area.

They always make the last one the hardest but if I mark the pieces, it takes all the fun out of it.
Start with his face (2 ears and a nose are on the top row).
The dark collar under his face is evident in the pieces.
Two foot pieces are in the third row.
Try not to move the pieces around too much and you may start to see a pattern of how they are arranged.
Ok, in case you want a BIG TIME spoiler for this one, I’ll give you a few shots of progress along the way but don’t peek if you want to try it on your own with just the final shot.
