Dungeonborne Classes

Right now, there are 7 classes to try out in Dungeonborne. So, let’s learn more about them!

Rogue

If you’re familiar with RPG games, you’ll know exactly what a Rogue is like. Stealth is the keyword! As a Rogue, it’s your job to steal, kill, and move silently. It’s a pretty versatile class, with a higher movement speed than others, invisibility, and door interactions are sped up significantly.

This grants you the freedom to move around freely while narrowing down on your enemies – you can even pocket their goods with thievery. For all of their good traits, they do end up having low HP. But, they’re great at disappearing from combat. You just need to be strategic about it and have good timing!

Weapons

  • Daggers
  • One-handed swords
  • Crossbows

Cryomancer

The Cryomancer class is your best friend if you like casting spells and cold weather! It’s a ranged magic DPS that focuses mainly on dealing strong AOE DMG to foes. Used on the offensive, the Cryomancer is the perfect class to keep enemy HP low while the other party members do what they need to do.

An important thing to remember about the Cryomancer is that it’s an Undead, which means it cannot be healed by a Priest using ‘holy magic’. Instead, you need to obtain souls via kills to gradually restore your HP and energy.

Weapons

  • Shields
  • One-handed swords
  • Staves

Pyromancer

The firey version of Cryomancer! If wielding frost isn’t your thing, then try the flames of a Pyromancer. Another ranged DPS, this class works best when keeping a safe distance away from enemies. With the ability to deal DMG from far away, they’re a great choice for those who prefer to play as casters.

They can summon AOE attacks at a range, but they need to position themselves correctly in battle. Once you find the best spot to stand, it’s best that you don’t stray too far, as the overall movement speed for a Pyromancer is low.

Weapons

  • Staves
  • One-handed swords
  • Shields

Death Knight

The Undead Knight! As you can probably guess, the Death Knight is a tank class that works best with close-range combat. Dealing targeted melee DMG as well as powerful AOE attacks, this class can drag enemies into battle at will.

However, while they can provoke enemies, Death Knights rely heavily on soul energy due to being Undead (similarly to Cryomancers!). Priests can’t heal Death Knights, so it’s all about balancing melee DMG and collecting souls for restoration.

Weapons

  • Two-handed swords
  • One-handed swords
  • Crossbows
  • Shields

Priest

The healer of the team! Utilising ‘holy magic’, the Priest can provide team members with special buffs whilst also being able to restore their HP. Because of this, the class can’t exactly attack with high DMG, but they’re sought-after purely for their healing capabilities. I wouldn’t say they excel at melee combat either, so it’s best to stay a fair distance away from the enemies majority of the time.

Weapons

  • Shields
  • Staves
  • One-handed maces

Swordmaster

A DPS class that can wield two swords! At least I’d hope so, seeing as how they’re a master of swords. Anyway, due to their high knowledge of the weapon, they’re able to boost them with magic. However, these magical abilities can only be used with class-specific weapons. Despite the name, they’re actually pretty good with ranged combat too, which is ideal when keeping enemies away from the team.

Weapons

  • Two-handed swords
  • One-handed swords
  • Crossbows
  • Shield

Fighter

One of the more standard classes, the Fighter is your typical balancing act. Decent DMG and decent defense, I would suggest this class for those who are new to this style of game. The Fighter is certainly one of the tankier classes and excels brilliantly with melee attacks. Due to this tankiness, however, the movement speed of a Fighter is reduced. If you like playing tanks in RPG’s, this class is for you!

Weapons

  • Nearly every weapon in the game! However, try to stick with melee weapons as the Fighter class works best with close-range combat.
