Game Introduction – Dream Park

Dream Park is a simulation game from Beeline Interactive for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. Given a plot of land and almost unlimited possibilities, you are tasked with building a theme park from scratch for both adults and children to enjoy! Spending your initial money wisely is certainly a key aspect to the game, so luckily you have Gamezebo’s quick start guide here with all the tips, tricks and cheats you’ll need to stay ahead of the game.

Quick Start Guide

Getting Started

• To get started and playing Dream Park, you’ll first need to download and install the app by clicking the “Play Now” button at the top of this screen.
• Once the game has finished installing, you can find the app on your home screen. Tap on the icon labeled “Dream Park” to get playing.
• At the main menu screen, you will be signed into Game Center automatically provided you have an account. If you don’t have a Game Center account, you can sign up for one using your iTunes ID at this time. Press Play to continue once you are ready to start playing.
• A short introduction sequence will follow, with the former owner of the park telling you a bit about the history of this park. Apparently the land where there is now only a few attractions and stalls left used to be a bustling theme park.

Building your park

• Now that you know about the park, you’re going to need to start building it to restore it to its former glory.

• To start building, tap the Build icon in the lower right corner of the screen. The menu is noted by the image of a hammer. Now, one of the first attractions you will be asked to build is a Riskee Ball stand for guests to play. Tap on the Buildings tab to access the games and concessions.

• Now, tap on the Riskee Ball stand to go into placement mode.
• At this point, you can tap and drag on the highlighted attraction until you’ve decided on a good spot to place it. When you’re ready to set it down for good, simply tap the green checkmark on top of it. If you need to rotate it, tap the purple rotate button. If you decided you no longer wished to buy the attraction, tap the X button to discard it.

• Attractions do take a little bit of time to build, so you could be waiting between a few minutes up to a few hours depending on the type of attraction you’re building.
• Once the required time has elapsed, your attraction will complete automatically and can immediately begin making you lots of money.

• If you’d rather not wait for construction of attractions, you can use Ride Tickets to speed up the process. Upon your first time playing the game, you will receive a small amount of Ride Tickets. If you want more, you will have to purchase them in bundle packs using in-app purchasing options. You can access the ticket-purchasing menu from the Build screen. Pricing may vary in your region.
• The Build menu is a place where you will be spending a good amount of time and money in Dream Park. Here is where you can find and build most items in the game. The first tab is for Rides, such as carousels, ferris wheels, and roller coasters. Second tab is for general buildings such as midway games, concession stands. Objects is where you’ll find smaller items such as pathways, bathrooms and trash bins. Special is where things can get expensive, as all of the items listed under this category cost Ride Tickets to purchase. Be careful when browsing, you don’t want to buy something and waste Tickets!
• The Build menu also houses the Move function. Tapping on this button allows you to move any item in your park. Moving functions just like placement mode, so it should be easy for you to figure out.

Running your park

• While your park can run mostly autonomously, you do need to take care of a few things once in a while to keep things going smoothly.

• After a while, certain attractions in your park will become available for collection. You’ll know this has happened because there will be a coin symbol above the attraction.
• When you see the coin above the attraction, tap on it to collect from the attraction. You will then receive any XP and coins collected.

• For certain attractions, you will then need to re-stock them after collection. You can tell which attractions require you to do so because they will have a cardboard box icon above them.
• To restock an attraction, tap the box and then tap the item you wish to stock for customers to buy. You will likely want to choose the option that suits your play style (you may have a ‘set it and forget it’ or ‘play as often as possible’ style, and there are options for both).

Visiting friends

• Dream Park does allow you to visit friends, and help them if you want.

• To visit friends, tap on the icon in the lower left corner (resembling a map). You will be taken to a login screen where you will be asked to login with Facebook. If you do not login with Facebook, you will not be able to use this feature. Tap on the Allow button once you’ve signed in with Facebook, and your friends that have played Dream Park will load in.
• If you don’t have any Facebook friends who are playing Dream Park or you don’t want to login with Facebook, you can tap on the “Random Park” button, or the “Featured Parks” button to use the social features.

• Tap on the friend you want to visit, and their park will load. If they are currently building any attractions, you can speed up the process for them if you wish. This is also a good time to get some ideas for how you could design your park.
