Draw The Line 3D is a game about guiding a ball by drawing a line. It’s a simple idea, but it can be pretty darn tough, especially when you’re getting started. There are obstacles to avoid, items to collect and the ever-present danger of smashing into the floor.

So we thought we’d write a guide to try and help you out. This guide, in fact. It’s packed full of the very best hints, tips and tricks that we’ve discovered during our time playing Draw The Line 3D, which is quite a lot of time.

If you’re just starting with the game, or you’ve been playing for a while, we reckon you’re going to find something here that’s going to really help you out. So let’s crack on with the top five hints, tips and cheats for Draw The Line 3D.

Watch the red arrows

The red arrows on the right of the screen show you where the obstacles are. The arrows will get bigger as you get closer to the piece of scenery. You don’t want to be anywhere near where the arrows are – you might think you’ll be able to thread your way through them, but that’s rarely ever the case. Go above or below them to stay safe.

Try and get the bird cages

The birds cages will give you 100 coins. That’s a massive boost compared to what you get from flying or hitting the spinning wheels. If you can get a bird cage safely, then you should always try. If it’s going to take a massive change in trajectory to pick it up though, it’s best to stay in control and get the next one.

Guide when you can

Keeping the ball rolling on the line is a great way of keeping in control. When you’re flying through the air it’s super hard to react to what’s coming up ahead of you. When the ball is on the line you can guide it easily, and flick it into the air when the need arises. You won’t get the bonus for flight, but that’s minimal anyway compared to finishing the level.

You can cancel a line with another line

If you’ve drawn your line incorrectly, you don’t have to wait for it to disappear – instead, you can replace it instantly by lifting your finger and drawing another line. Be careful that you’re not drawing above the ball though – that can lead to a catastrophic crash into the ground that’s going to end your run.

Draw straight down to stop a backwards ball

If your ball is travelling in the wrong direction, draw a straight line behind it to start it heading in the right direction. Add a curve pointing back in the direction you’re supposed to be heading and the ball will follow it and you’ll be all set to keep going.
