I’ve drained my fair share of lakes and utilised plenty of buckets to do so. So, with that wisdom in mind, I’ve curated a Drain the Lake Bucket Tier List, telling you the best from the rest, so you know which to invest in and what makes them so good.

Drain the Lake Bucket Tier List

My Tier is up to date as of July 8th, 2026.

S-TIER

The best Buckets. I recommend using any of these if they’re available to you.

  • Toxic Bucket
    • +20% Token earnings and a 10% chance to instantly cash out when full.
    • Attained via the wheel only, you have a slim chance of ever getting your hands on this Bucket. If you do, the benefits are great and make this a solid primary choice for your campaigns.
  • Shark Bucket
    • 15% chance to scoop 3x water.
    • Great for efficient draining of the lake if you wanna make it to the bottom in record time. Overall, pretty good despite no Token benefits.
  • Dragon Bucket
    • +20% Token earnings and a 15% chance to double a payout.
    • It’s no shock that the Robux Bucket is the best in the game. This provides the best well-rounded benefits to make your campaign extra efficient if you’re aiming for a speed run.

A-TIER

Great alternative options that I highly recommend if you don’t have the top-tier Buckets available to you.

  • Magnet Bucket
    • Auto-collects Tokens and applies a +5% Token Earnings.
    • This seems like high praise for a simple Bucket, but for most players, this is the best Bucket they’ll ever afford. After this Bucket (per the in-game list), the rest are Robux, Wheel Spins, or challenge-affiliated. (Except the Golden Bucket)
  • Golden Bucket
    • +15% Token earnings and a chance that pours turn up Diamonds.
    • Once you’ve bought this bucket, there isn’t much left for you to buy with Diamonds. As the game updates and adds more content, this Bucket will likely shift into the S-Tier as it will become a meta for Diamond farming.
  • Anicent Bucket
    • +10% Token earnings and digs up higher-tier Gems.
    • Overall solid benefits and a nice reward for completing in-game badges. As it’s basically free to get, it’s a good Bucket to use.

B-TIER

Average Buckets. You could take or leave these. Overall, great benefits, but not as easy to acquire given their buffs.

  • Toilet Bucket
    • +3 Bucket Capacity and a 10% chance to auto cash-out when full.
    • Pretty efficient as far as Buckets go, giving you more water space and a chance to not need to return to the checkpoint, saving you some time.

C-TIER

Lacklustre and not worth investing in.

  • Plastic Bucket
    • +5% Fill Speed
    • Pretty niche upgrade that I don’t really recommend buying into. The in-game computer upgrades provide more than enough fill speed to negate the benefits of this Bucket.
  • Metal Bucket
    • +2 Bucket Capacity
    • Always good to hold more water, but this Bucket loses a lot of its momentum to the in-game computer upgrades that offer a lot of additional capacity. I suggest saving your Diamonds and buying the Magent Bucket instead.

D-TIER

This Tier is home to the Bucket, the beginner’s Bucket, which all players gain upon playing for the first time. It provides a nice baseline expectation for all Buckets in comparison that occupy the higher tiers.

  • Bucket
    • The lonesome beginners bucket. All players begin with this humble, oversized wooden cup and work their way up the ranks. No buffs, and nothing remarkable to say.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I earn Tokens?

Tokens are an in-campaign currency. To earn them, fill your Bucket with water and then pour it into the machines at each checkpoint. The machine will drain the water and sift for any materials to instantly sell and exchange for Tokens. Tokens are then used for computer upgrades to enhance your game.

How do I get Spins?

Check the Update Log from the top right of the game screen when in the lobby. The DEVs provide freebies with each UPD to reward returning players and commemorate new additions to the game.
