Think about the wording of the action you’re being asked to perform. Sometimes there are clues hidden in the words that you need to figure out. Sure, more often than not everything is straightforward, but if you’re having trouble read the question again and see if you can’t think about things in a different way.
There are times when the question forms a much bigger part of the puzzle and you need to erase part or all of it. Again, think about what the words actually say and what they might mean in conjunction with the image you’ve been presented with. If you’re stuck it’s always worth trying to rub out the question and seeing what happens.
Sometimes you don’t just have to erase one thing, you have to erase two. For example you might wipe out a cupboard to reveal what’s inside, and then have to wipe away the bag to reveal the true culprit. If you clear something and the level hasn’t ended, you need to clear something else.
This is a good idea if you’re having difficulty with a level. Erase everything and see what’s hidden. It won’t finish the level most of the time, but it’ll give you an idea of what’s hidden. It doesn’t always help, but it’s a good tool to have in your arsenal if you want to get as far in the game as possible.
Some levels are pretty darn difficult. If you’ve tried everything you can think of, then don’t hesitate to use the hints button at the bottom of the screen. These will show you exactly what you need to do. Sometimes you’ll swear aloud when you realise what you’re missing, but it’s better than smashing your head against a problem you can’t quite see.
