The Doors World Lotus is the main and final antagonist in the Outdoors level, though you can say the same for Bramble! Speaking of, you can learn about the new Doors entity with our Bramble guide.

Doors World Lotus

What is that giant flower in the sky?

What is the World Lotus?

The World Lotus is the main antagonist of the Doors Outdoors level. While this entity doesn’t directly attack you, many theorise that it’s in control of the majority of entities throughout the Outdoors, or at least the plant-like ones, particularly those with vines.

In terms of how it does this, it uses its roots to create monsters and then directs them to hunt and attack. Many players believe the Eyestalk, Bramble, and even the Mandrakes are controlled by the World Lotus.

Towards the end of the game, you can see the World Lotus in the background. It’s probably the largest entity that’s ever been added to Doors. It’s literally a giant. When you explore the Outdoors, you might notice random vines in rooms. These vines are attached to the World Lotus! These vines don’t attack you, though. The maze is where you can see the World Lotus in all its glory.

How to Defeat the World Lotus

During the maze section of the Outdoors, you need to cut the vines of the World Lotus to progress. As you do this, you must evade the Bramble entity, which roams the gardens. When the light on its head is on, you need to avoid it as much as possible. If the light is off, you can walk around the maze freely in search of the vines.

At the tip of each vine, there’s a guillotine-like machine. You can use this to sever the vines from the World Lotus! The vines uncover holes, which allow you to move forward. There are three vines to cut in total, which doesn’t sound like much, but it can be tricky when you’re trying to evade Bramble, too. After the three vines are severed, the exit is revealed, and you can escape the maze.
