DOORS The Hunt Guide

To start the DOORS The Hunt quest, you need to look for the glowing blue corridor – it isn’t hard to miss! Walk down the corridor and head into an elevator to begin the event mode called ‘The Backdoor’.

How to Beat The Hunt’s Backdoor Level

The entire point of this event level is to make your way through all 50 doors before the timer runs out, and without getting killed by the 2 entities!

Find the Switches

One of the major pieces of advice I can give you is to listen out for beeping sounds as you explore the map. This beeping sound indicates that there is a switch nearby that you can interact with to increase the amount of time you have to finish The Backdoor.

When first starting this level, you have a total of 60 seconds to find the next door. Each switch rewards you with extra time, keeping the timer going, and giving you a little more leeway. If the timer runs out, the entity called ‘Haste’ will appear to defeat you.

Avoid Specific Doors

Try to avoid doors that aren’t numbered as much as possible. This is because, once opened, they reveal a black portal that can suck you in to kill you. This type of door is formally called ‘The Vacuum’.

When opening a door without a number, make sure you step back quickly! Numbered doors are fine to open as they lead to another room, with each door sign decreasing in number, starting from 50.

The Final Door

The last door has a sign on it that reads ‘0000’! Head through the door to complete The Backdoor and to get the “Escape the Backdoor” badge for The Hunt event.

How to Counter the Entities

The main entities that appear during The Backdoor mode are Blitz and the Lookman. Many players have been comparing Blitz to another entity called the Rush due to how it behaves throughout the level. However, it’s important to note that it is a different entity entirely, so you should proceed with caution.

Blitz

Right, so how do you counter Blitz? Luckily, it makes it obvious when it’s about to appear. All of the lights will start to flicker quickly, which is your sign to find a locker to hide in.

There’s also audio that you need to listen out for, which is another way of warning you of an incoming Blitz appearance. Stay in the locker until Blitz disappears, which is when the audio stops playing, and the screen stops shaking.

The Lookman

Despite its name, you cannot look at the Lookman. This means you need to keep your camera down towards the ground as much as possible, but not enough that you can’t see where you’re going.

Be warned that it can spawn in dark and well-lit areas, so it’s best to be prepared at all times! By looking at the Lookman, your character will start to take damage.
