With the introduction of a Tower Challenge event in Disney Magic Kingdoms comes the opportunity to get your hands on certain rewards. The rewards for this challenge include concessions, characters and chests. I will make all clear in the guide below, so keep reading if you want to know more.
LeFou is Gaston’s bumbling loyal sidekick from Beauty and the Beast. I won’t say any more about his character to avoid spoiling it for anyone although if you haven’t seen Beauty and the Beast by, you should!
To get LeFou, you will need to take part in the entire 14-day event. They split the event into three chapters, each chapter has three items you can buy. One of these items is a token needed to unlock LeFou and you will need 30 of these tokens to fulfil part one. You will then need the next token which is in chapter two and you’ll need 25 of these. The final token is unlocked in chapter three and you will need 20 of these tokens.
Once you have all the tokens, you will need 2,500 Maleficent coins to make the final purchase to get LeFou. It’s fair to say only Disney Magic Kingdom veterans will be able to get every part needed for LeFou. This is because you will need 6,000 event coins to get all 30 of the first tokens, so good luck!
There are many ways to get your hands on these coins, some require less time than others. Several buildings you own may go a purple colour, meaning they generate a few of these tokens over time. There are also dinner plates that spawn and wander around, clicking on these guys will reward you with a coin or two. These plates re-spawn reasonably quickly, a few every hour.
You can also earn coins by sending your characters to challenge the tower. Challenging the tower will take time and your character’s energy. Once you have used a character to challenge the tower, you must wait a couple of hours before they are ready to do it again. You can use a certain token to restore your character’s energy, which I recommend doing so if you want to get a lot of event currency quickly.
The main stat to focus on is your total points. Points are achieved by successfully contesting against the tower and they dictate how much progress you make throughout the event. Earn a little number of points across the 14 days and you will never have enough event currency to grab all the tokens and therefore won’t have a chance to get your hands on LeFou.
Collecting points is a good way to earn Maleficent Coins and other goodies. These goodies include chests, concessions and decorations. The more points you get the better your rewards are, plus more rewards you will get across the event.
Basically, just keep challenging the tower and use the refresh tokens on your highest rated characters. You can send level one or two characters to challenge the tower but beware they won’t get as many points as level 10 characters.
