  • Need cash? Do some contract hunts – You need dinosaur-sized piles of money to upgrade your equipment with. The best way to earn it is by taking on contract hunts. These quick missions often offer big payouts.
  • Target marked areas when taking down big dinosaurs – When hunting larger dinosaurs like the T-Rex or Stegosaurus, pay attention to the areas of the animal that are marked with red circles. These are recommended targets, and you should aim for them. Hitting indicated targets do more than cause damage; they help slow the dinosaur if it starts to charge, which is definitely a plus if you’re up against the lizard king.
  • Get a look at the dinosaurs’ surroundings to get an idea of how they’ll act in that particular stage – It’s not uncommon for multiple species of dinosaurs to show up in one stage. The arrival of unwanted visitors can directly affect your hunt. For instance, if a T-Rex is looming in the background of a stage, the smaller dinosaurs in the area will understandably be nervous and quick to run.
  • Complete weapon series and trophy hunts to unlock new regions – Map pieces are required to unlock new regions. You can earn said pieces by completing weapon series hunts as well as trophy hunts.

  • Upgrade your weapons as often as possible – you’ll need to in order to get ahead – Don’t be shy about upgrading your guns. Trophy hunts can only be accessed if your weapons are up to snuff, and even weapon series hunts can be extremely difficult if you go in unprepared. Luckily, the game is pretty good about telling you when you ought to upgrade your firepower.
  • Do head and lung shots for more cash – Head shots and lung shots bring in a bit of extra money when you perform them, so don’t hesitate to put one between Barney’s eyes.
  • Use (and upgrade) your infrared to complete missions that require you to make specific shots – Some missions require you to make specific head shots or lung shots. In these instances, it’s best to use your infrared to see the exact locations of the dinosaurs’ vital organs. Make sure to upgrade your infrared so that the battery will last longer.
  • Don’t focus all your weapon upgrades in one area – Power, ammo, zoom, and balance are all equally important – and all of them need to be upgraded if you want to access all the missions available in Dino Hunter: Deadly Shores. Spread out your weapon upgrades to keep up with the game’s challenge.

  • If you’re having trouble bringing down predators, wait until they leap on you – Predators will usually charge you as soon as they notice your presence. When they leap, you often get a clear shot of their heart, lungs, or brain. This is an excellent time to shoot, but make sure you’re ready to defend yourself if you’re up against a pack of hunters.
  • When hunting herbivores, line up your initial shot carefully – Barring big fellows like Triceratops and Stegosaurus, herbivores are shy and quick to flee if they’re injured. Make your first shot count for a lot.
  • Use the assault rifle to take down small, fast-moving omnivores – Your rifle’s power and zoom won’t do a lot of good against quick runners. Use your assault rifle to spray fire as they dart past.
