Boats provide safe sailing between islands so you can expand your journal with new collections. This differs from Mounts, and in this Dig It Boats guide, I’ll tell you how to obtain each vessel, their stats and how to get them!

There are three possible ways to cross islands including Boating, hitching a ride or leaping across the surface of the water. The latter is rather dangerous as even though your head remains unsubmerged, your oxygen allowance slowly depletes with each hop. Failure to touch down on soil before it runs out results in the untimely death and respawning of your avatar at their home island.
As for hitching a ride, other players who already have Boats often don’t like to play taxi. You can try asking them for a lift elsewhere, but their compliance comes down to personal morals. So, it’s easier to get a Boat!
You’re able to purchase a ship from various Boat Dealers on each island, typically stunting outfits close to the aesthetic of that area. But, for humble beginners, you’ll need to speak with Hoover located at the docks of Nookville.
