Where can you find the Dire Wolf boss?
The Dig Dire Wolf boss is only available for a limited time and drops a bounty of rewards that range from a new shovel, an accessory, and Blood Moon Chests. For more information on the other bosses in Dig, you can check out our Boss Drops guide!
The Blood Moon event boss!
You can find the Dire Wolf boss within the Cinder Cavern. The Blood Moon event must be active for it to spawn, and the boss itself appears every 4 hours.
It’s a good idea to keep an eye on the game, as there is an announcement that lets you know 60 seconds before it spawns, giving you a chance to make your way to the Cinder Cavern location, and again once it appears.
Once you enter the Cinder Cavern, you can easily spot the Dire Wolf boss, as it spawns at the bottom of the slope, and there is a tag on screen to let you know exactly where it is.
What does the Dire Wolf drop upon defeat? There are a variety of items, as well as coins, EXP, and Blood Moon Chests.
The Fanged Shovel has a 20% chance of dropping from the Dire Wolf boss. When using this shovel, you deal double the amount of DMG when the Blood Moon event is active. It also grants a 25% chance of an item having the Clawed mutation, which increases the selling value by 1.5x.
There are lots of possible items within the Blood Moon Chest!
