Days of Prophecy is a brand new strategy game that draws an awful lot of inspiration from the likes of Fire Emblem and Langrisser. You’ll create an epic team of heroes and take it in turns with your enemies to hit each other with massive swords.

There are plenty of familiar elements for fans of the genre, including rock, paper, scissors combat mechanics, grid-based movement, and a wide variety of units to learn the strengths and weaknesses of.

In this guide, we’re going to provide a bunch of tips and tricks to help you hit the ground running with this awesome strategy game.

Days of Prophecy Tips and Tricks:

  • Use elemental weaknesses: Elemental weaknesses are incredibly powerful in Days of Prophecy, and you’ll want to exploit them as often as possible. Always take a glance at the opposition before making a move, then plan accordingly. You’ll want to attack with elemental strengths and protect those who are weak to nearby enemies.
  • Try and prioritise levelling weaker units: It makes sense to prioritise levelling your lower level units so they’re all at peak effectiveness. A good method of doing this is to weaken nearby opponents with your strong units, but let your weaker units finish them off for more XP. It shouldn’t take you long to catch up using this method.
  • Use frontline heroes to protect your backline: Your backline heroes are weaker at protecting themselves than your frontline heroes. It makes sense to position your warriors in front of your archers and mages so they don’t end up just getting killed immediately.
  • Go back to three star previous levels: If you miss out on three starring a level, we recommend going back and trying again. Not only will you feel a strong sense of satisfaction, you’ll gain a few levels for each of your heroes.
  • Always use the Blessed bonus: If you stand on an elemental sigil with a character of the same element, they’ll become blessed. That provides you with a sizeable stat boost that lets them fight against the odds.
