Compass Point: West is a base building / battle strategy game from Next Games. In Compass Point: West, you construct a frontier town to defend against a greedy oil baron who wants your land and money. Compass Point: West Tips, Cheats and Strategies
  • Remember to check in to your saloon for free card draws – You can draw for a new card every two hours at your saloon. Make sure to check in regularly so you don’t miss out. Don’t forget, you can pay gold and supplies in order to increase the quality of your draws, but you still have to wait for the countdown to finish before you can pick your card.
  • Watch ads for free cards and other bonuses – A “theatre cart” often parks at the entrance of your base. Select it and opt to “watch a show” in order to get cards, gold, supplies and other handy stuff for free.
  • Look out for diamonds on the level map – Check the level map every so often, even if you don’t intend to make an attack. You might find bags of free diamonds hanging out there, waiting to be claimed.
  • Chop down trees for supplies, blow up rocks for gold – If you’re short on resources, you can axe trees for some gold, and explode some rocks for trees. It helps clear space for your buildings, too. Keep in mind that chopping down trees costs gold, and blowing up rocks costs supplies.

  • Merging fighters makes them more powerful – and frees up space in your camps – While you shouldn’t go crazy combining your weaker cards into stronger cards (troop numbers still count for a lot in Compass Point: West), don’t be shy about combining occasionally merging four or more similar cards for an upgrade. You’ll end up with a stronger fighter, and equally as important, you’ll free up space in your camps.
  • Prioritize upgrading your courthouse early on – You must respect The Law. One of the first things you should focus on is upgrading your courthouse by a couple of levels. Doing so opens up myriad building and upgrade options.
  • Upgrade your banks and barns, too – You should also upgrade your banks and barns ASAP so they can hold more money and supplies. Nothing’s worse than drawing a card for a big gold infusion, only to have it spill out of an already-stuffed bank and into oblivion.
  • Scout before you attack – When targeting an enemy, you’re always given the option to scout the area beforehand. Take that option. Once you enter a battle for real, the countdown begins and you need to know your stuff.

  • Attack other players for maximum resources – Playing the single-player campaign will net you some resources from victories, but the real profits come from attacking other players (and winning, of course). However, playing through the single-player campaign will keep you well-stocked early in the game, so don’t rush into live challenges until you’re sure you’ve got a handle on things.
  • Mix up fighter types – Fighters can be long-range or melee. Mix up both types for effective attacks in the single-player campaign. Of course, with live players you should deploy your troops accordingly. Some fighters take more battle points than others to deploy, so keep that in mind.
