Clash Royale Season 2 officially launches on August 5, introducing a ton of exciting new features to the addictive strategy hit. There’s a new arena, a new Pass Royale, tons of new rewards including a Tower Skin, balance changes, and more.

We thought we’d round up all of the new features in this post so you know exactly what to expect when the update lands on Monday. Let’s get to it.

Clash Royale Season 2 – New Features:

New Arena – Shipwreck Island

Shipwreck Island is a brand new arena that will arrive along with Season 2. Given that we’re currently in the midst of a scorching summer, it makes sense that this arena takes place on the beach.

The gorgeous blue waters, rich yellow sands, and sun umbrellas will have you begging to go on holiday. At least you can have one in-game, right?

Pass Royale Season 2

Season 2’s Pass Royale features 35 new reward tiers, just like the last one, with a brand new Sandcastle Tower Skin that’s unlocked when you reach tier 30.

There’s also a pirate emote for your king – the first king emote since the launch of Clash Royale! – and, of course, a guaranteed Legendary for anyone who reaches the final 35th tier.

New Challenge – Wall Breakers: Island Rush

Wall Breakers: Island Rush is a brand new challenge coming to Season 2, which seems to double down on the current Wall Breakers card by introducing two more barrel-wielding skeletons. It’s kind of terrifying watching them rush towards your base.

Legendary Fisherman – Available to All

The brand new Legendary Fisherman will finally be available to everyone with Season 2 launches. Now you can finally stop staring in envy.

Season 2 Balance Changes:

Magic Archer

The Magic Archer is getting a considerable buff with Season 2, increasing its damage by 16%. Its hit speed is getting a slight reduction to 1.1 seconds from 1.0 seconds.

Fisherman

It’s all buffs for the latest card Fisherman, which is getting a 10% increase in HP and an increase in anchor range from 6.5 to 7.

P.E.K.K.A

P.E.K.K.A is losing 9.5% of her total HP, but is gaining a considerable melee range buff from short to long range.

Lumberjack

The Lumberjack is getting a slight nerf to his hit speed, from 0.7 seconds to 0.8 seconds. This makes sense, as the Lumberjack deals serious damage and the hit speed was a bit ridiculous.

Barbarian Barrel

Barbarian Barrel is getting a 15% damage nerf, which seems kind of harsh but we’re not going to overly complain as it’s kind of an irritating card.

Valkyrie

The Valkyrie is mostly getting a fix with her balance changes, as she’ll no longer outrange melee attackers who can hit from long distances.
