How to Change the Color of Outfits – The First Descendant Guide

To change the color of outfits for your Descendants, you need Paint! Now, how do you get Paint? Well, you need to collect a few materials to craft it.

Paint Crafting Recipe

You need a Spectrometer, an Atom Topcoat, and an Oort Stone. So far, we’ve only found these crafting materials in the game’s shop within the painting screen. All materials cost 25 Caliber each if you want singular items, but they are also available in bundles.

In short, you’re going to need a fair amount of Caliber saved up if you plan to craft a lot of Paint for your skins. This material is required whenever you want to change the color of outfits in the First Descendant, so this recipe is crucial!

How to Make Paint

Now that you have the materials, you can make the paint. Please note that the color of the Paint is completely random, which means you have no control over it. I suggest crafting Paint in bulk when you can, especially if you have multiple outfits that you want to recolor!

How to Change the Color of an Outfit

Once you’re happy with the Paint colors that you’ve obtained, you can head to the Skins tab which is found in the menu for Customisation. Select the Descendant and the unlocked skin that you want to recolor, and apply the Paint! You cannot recolor the original outfits that come with a Descendant. This means you need to obtain new skins with Caliber before you can even think about changing the color!
