Castle Raid is a game all about clearing paths and growing your army, before a final assault on the enemy stronghold. It’s a pretty simple concept, but there are plenty of trials and tribulations waiting for you if you’re not prepared.

There’s something here for newcomers and more seasoned players alike. These are, even if we do say so ourselves, the best hints, tips and cheats for Castle Raid. So let’s get on with it, shall we?
It’s important to make the right choice about the direction you’re going to head in. See what lies ahead and make an informed choice. Sure, that 5x multiplier might look nice, but those spikes behind it are probably going to do you more damage than if you went for the easy path with the 3x multiplier.
When you come up to the castle gate, there’s usually a large force of enemies waiting for you. Instead of making a small clearing for your army to go through, try and swipe in a way that gets rid of all the grass at once. The more of your soldiers you can get through in one go, the better you’re going to do.Â
At the start of each level you can upgrade your attack and defense. Try and upgrade these evenly, instead of just focusing on one. It’s rare you’re going to feel underpowered when you go into a scrap if you upgrade in this way. If you do though, watch a video to increase your stats.
You’ll often find gems in the levels, and it’s worth picking them up if you can do it safely. There are hidden gems as well – they bounce up so you can see them, then disappear back under the grass. If you can get these without reducing the size of your army, you should always try and do it.Â
Sometimes you’ll find yourself in a situation where you want to go in two different directions. It’s perfectly possible as well. Draw a line one way, then quickly add a second line going in the other. Your army will split up and you’ll be able to join them back together later in the level.
