The guide is aimed at anyone who’s played the game – whether they’re just starting or they’ve been trying to blow things up for a while, there’s going to be something here to help them out. So let’s do it – here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Captain TNT.
Instead of sticking one bit of dynamite and triggering it, then repeating, it’s a better idea to throw all of your dynamite and blow it up in one massive explosion. Obviously don’t just stick it in one massive pile – spread it around the building (more on that later). You might not complete the level the first time, but you’ll be able to see the pieces that are still standing and figure out where you need to place your explosives to bring it down next time round.
You’ll want to make your bombs more powerful whenever you’ve got the currency to do it. Check the upgrade screen regularly to see if you’ve got the pieces you need to make your booms even bigger. Try and upgrade all of your bombs, don’t just focus on one kind, since you can’t choose which ones to take into the levels.
You need to be blowing up the parts of the building where the structure joins together. It’s all well and good blasting walls, but hardly any of them are actually going to be holding any weight. Look for the corners, the right angles, the places that, if they’re not there anymore, or going to lead to a total collapse. Those are the places you should be targeting.
Whenever you get a chance to open a chest, you should take it. Whether that’s because of the keys you’ve picked up, because of the daily rewards you’ve earned, or because the game has thrown one at you and told you you can have it if you watch a video. They’re full of the stuff you need to make your demolition company even better.
