The kill confirmed mode is back on Call of Duty Mobile. It’s an amazing twist on team deathmatch. You’re not just trying to kill your opponents, you’re trying to collect the dog tags they drop when they die. It makes things far more frantic and far more tactical at the same time.

It’s also a brilliant way to earn gold in the new gold rush event. In fact, other than playing battle royale, it’s the only way.

If you’re struggling to get a foothold in games, then don’t worry, because we’ve got some hints and tips that are really going to help you out. We’re talking MVP every time here. Well, at least top three anyway.

Don’t Rush In

It’s tempting when you see a group of enemies to rush head first into the scrum and let the bullets sort it out. However, there’s a very good chance all you’re doing is delivering your dog tag to the other team on a silver platter.

Waiting for the right moment to strike is key. If you’ve got some distance between you and your foes, then try and take them all down as quickly as possible. Picking them off one by one isn’t going to do any good, because you’ll end up with one dog tag when you should have gotten three.

Deny Kills

If you ever see a blue dog tag, you should pick it up. Not only will it get you an XP boost, it’ll also stop the other team from scoring a point. That’s why it’s a good idea to move around in groups. Not only do you have added firepower, you’ve also got someone close by who can pick up your dog tag if you get taken out.

Look at it this way – would you rather give up three tags or just one? You don’t want to be too closely grouped, but always keep an eye on where your teammates are. It’s also smart to come in for a clean-up if one of your team is downed. You can easily pick up a bunch of dog tags while the enemy desperately chases one.

Think About Kill Streaks

In Kill Confirmed, defensive kill streaks aren’t all that important. What you want are kill streaks that help your team and charge up quickly. We use the RC Shock Car and the UAV that reveals positions on the map as our two lesser streaks. They’re super quick to recharge, and following the RC car is a great way to get back into the action with a huge advantage.

For your big streak, it’s a good idea to have something incredibly powerful. You won’t collect the tags yourself with a stealth chopper or a flying gun turret, but you will do an incredible amount of damage in a short amount of time. Even if your team only sweeps up half of the tags you create, that’s likely to put you ahead.

Sniping Problems

Sniping isn’t the best tactic when you’re playing kill confirmed, for obvious reasons. A good mid-range weapon is what you should be using. Or, if you prefer, a shotgun so you can get up close and personal.

There are opportunities for long-range fighting, but often you’ll find your kills being denied because you’re too far away to grab the tags. Take the fight closer to the enemy and you’ll be surprised how much better you start doing.

Keep Moving

Your enemies are going to be respawning in multiple places, so trying to find a camping spot to take them down from isn’t a great tactic. Find an area of the map and make it your own. Try not to stray too far out of the area, and make your enemies come to you.

Holding down one space on the map means your team will usually respawn close by, and it allows you to keep control of the action. If there are only a handful of ways to get to where you are, then you’re essentially funnelling the other team into kill boxes. That’s a great way to get the job done.
