Game Introduction – Build-a-lot: Fairy Tales

Welcome to the Build-a-lot: Fairy Tales walkthrough on Gamezebo. Build-a-lot: Fairy Tales is a strategy/city building game created by HipSoft. This walkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide on how to complete Build-a-lot: Fairy Tales.

General Tips

• Upon starting a new game, select “Play Storybook” on the left. You can choose between two campaigns at first: Tutorial and Storybook. Tutorial is a great start for new players and will let you go over the game basics and how it works. Storybook is the best place for experienced players to start. From here, you can view your Journal to view stages you’ve completed and replay them, or you can select Resume to continue your current progress.
• Complete the Storybook Campaign to unlock the Expert and Quick Start campaigns.
• When playing the game, there are three tabs at the bottom of the screen. The green tab shows your current and potential rental income as well as your level goals. The purple tab shows your fairies and how many are immediately available, as well as letting you purchase more from here. The blue tab shows your materials; you can also purchase more materials from here.
• Lots are either shown in color or in black and white. Color means you own the lot and may do with it as you wish, while black and white means you don’t own it and will have to purchase it if you’d like to use or modify it.
• When you select an empty lot, you can sell it, create a house, create a structure, or reforest. The following is a list of house types you can create:

• When a lot is for sale, click on it if you’d like to purchase it. You can either buy it outright for the asking price, or offer a lower price. You stand a better chance at getting a house with a lower price if more than one similar property is for sale at the same time.
• Once you’ve purchased a property (house), you can either upgrade it, sell it, or demolish it. Upgrade a property to increase its value and rental income. Demolish it to build something else there.
• When selling a house or property, a bell will ring when an offer comes in. You can then choose to either accept or reject the offer.
• With a tree lot, you can choose to sell it, harvest it to get 500 Gold, or harvest it to get 100 Materials. In some cases, you will need to reforest empty lots to complete a goal.
• Click on an existing house to access its menu. You can sell, upgrade, paint, protect, enchant, or demolish it.
• Paint a house to increase the Charm of an area. Each house painted increases Charm by +5.
• The smiley face with the crown at the top of your screen displays the Charm value of your neighborhood.
• When completing a goal, all of the goals must be met at the same time. For example: If your goal is to own 2 Painted Houses and Sell 1, if you own two and sell one of them, the goal will not be met. You must own 2 at the time of the sale.

Chapter 1: The Meadows

Level 1

• Requirements: Harvest 2 tree lots, Own 3 Dens, Rental income of 300 gold

1. Harvest 2 tree lots for 100 materials each
2. Use the three empty lots (two created from harvesting the trees) to build a Den each
3. Upgrade each Den to 1 star
4. Upgrade one of the Dens to a second star, resulting in 300 gold income total.

Level 2

• Requirements: Reforest 3 empty lots, Own 2 painted Dens, Town charm of +10, Sell 1 house

1. Choose three of your five empty lots and reforest them
2. Select the Den already built and paint it
3. Build 2 Dens on the remaining 2 empty lots
4. Paint the 2 Dens
5. Sell 1 of the Dens

Level 3

• Requirements: Own 2 Cottages, Town Charm of +10, Collect 3 Fairies (1 more needed), Rental income of 400 gold

1. Select and harvest 1 tree lot for 100 materials
2. Build a Cottage
3. Buy a lot for sale when one appears
4. Build another Cottage on the new empty lot
5. Upgrade one Cottage (rent of 405 gold total now)
6. Paint 2 Cottages for +10 Charm
7. Harvest the remaining tree lots for 500 gold each
8. Purchase 1 Fairy for 5,000 gold

Level 4

• Requirements: Own 6 houses, Rental income of 800 gold, No empty lots in the town, Create a Townhall

1. Build 1 Cottage
2. Harvest 2 tree lots: 1 for 100 materials, 1 for 500 gold
3. Purchase 100 material units for 1,000 gold
4. When the dragon comes, select the house he burns and extinguish it (will cost 45 materials)
5. Build 2 Cottages and a Den
6. Purchase the 3 remaining empty lots when they appear for sale
7. Build 1 Cottage and 2 Dens on the remaining empty lots (You should have 4 Cottages and 3 Dens total now for a rental income of 825 gold)
8. Purchase 500 material units for 4,000 gold to build the Town hall. Purchase extra material units as needed from damage caused by the dragon. Select it and build it once you have 5,000 gold.

Chapter 2: The Township

Level 5

• Requirements: Demolish 3 houses, Own 2 Manors upgraded with three stars, 10,000 Gold, (additional) Own 2 tree lots

1. Demolish 1 Cottage and build 1 Manor in its place
2. Sell the remaining 2 Cottages
3. Demolish 1 Den
4. Upgrade your Manor to 3 stars
5. Purchase 250 Material Units, and continue to make purchases as necessary
6. Build a second Manor on an empty lot and upgrade it to 3 stars
7. Purchase a property for sale
8. Select the remaining Den and demolish it
9. Reforest the 2 remaining empty lots

Level 6

• Requirements: Own 5 painted Dens, 18,000 Gold, (additional) 1 Three-star Cottage

1. Select 2 tree lots and Harvest them for 250 Materials each
2. Build 2 Dens on the empty lots and Paint them
3. Select 2 tree lots and Harvest them for 1,250 Gold each
4. Build 2 Dens on the empty lots and Paint them
5. Harvest the final 2 tree lots, 1 for 1,250 Gold and 1 for 250 Materials
6. Build 1 Den on an empty lot and Paint it
7. Build 1 Cottage on the last empty lot and upgrade it to 3 stars
8. Buy a tree lot for sale, Harvest it for 1,250 Gold, then build a Cottage on the empty lot. Sell it for profit (7,500 Gold value)
9. Wait for remaining rental income to come in to meet the 18,000 Gold goal

Level 7

• Requirements: Own 1 Dwarves Foundry, Own 3 painted Manors, Rental income of 1,500 Gold, (additional) 2,000 Materials

1. Select an empty lot, then select Build Structure, and then Dwarves Foundry
2. Demolish 1 Den, Build 1 Manor on the empty lot
3. Purchase 1,000 Material Units for 3,750 Gold
4. Demolish the remaining Den, Build 1 Manor on the empty lot
5. Paint the 2 Manors
6. Demolish the Cottage, Build 1 Manor on the empty lot (3 total now) and Paint it
7. Purchase 500 additional Material Units
8. Upgrade one Manor to 1 star, one Manor to 2 stars, and one Manor to 3 stars
9. Purchase 1,000 Material Units, or the number as needed to fulfill the 2,000 Materials goal

Level 8

• Requirements: Own 2 Manors on Coveted Lots, Own 8 houses (7 more needed), Rental income of 2,500 Gold, (additional) +40 Charm

1. Purchase all the property as soon as you can: you will need it.
2. Paint all your houses after you buy them.
3. In total you will need 2 Manors three-star (coveted), 3 Dens, and 4 Cottages
4. Build a Dwarves Foundry as soon as possible to make Materials cheaper. Build it in a corner, non-coveted lot if you can.
5. When Harvesting tree lots, harvest them for Gold
6. Once you’ve painted all your houses and fulfill the other requirements, demolish the Dwarves Foundry to complete the objective.

Level 9

• Requirements: Own 1 Wishing Well, Town Charm of +50, (additional) 40,000 Gold

1. Harvest all 3 tree lots for 250 Materials each
2. Build 3 Manors on the 3 empty lots
3. Paint the 3 Manors and 1 Cottage
4. Demolish the Cottage you chose not to paint, then Build a Manor on the empty lot and Paint it
5. Purchase one of the lots in the middle section of the middle row when they’re for sale. If it’s a tree lot, Harvest it for materials.
6. Build a Wishing Well on the empty (middle) lot
7. Upgrade your Manors to 2 stars each
8. Purchase the remaining (cheaper) properties when they’re up for sale. Harvest any tree lots for Materials, and build a Den on the empty lot.
9. Paint all the properties. You should have +50 charm now.
10. Now that the initial requirements are fulfilled, sell Manors until you meet your 40,000 Gold goal.

Level 10

• Requirements: 3 Coveted Manors, 1 Dwarves Foundry, Rent 2,500 Gold, Create Flying Machine

1. Click on the purple Fairies tab and purchase 2 Fairies for 9,000 Gold
2. Buy any coveted property that appears for sale, Harvest the tree lot for Materials, and build a Manor on the empty lot. Repeat this for all the coveted lots.
3. Upgrade your coveted property Manors as you acquire them to 3 stars each and Paint them
4. Buy a normal property away from the coveted area when for sale and build the Dwarves Foundry there.
5. Purchase a Den (or other housing property if affordable. Harvest for Materials and build Den if a tree lot). The combined rent income should now be 2,557 Gold.
6. Purchase Materials so that you have 1,000 total for the Flying Machine
7. Build the Flying Machine
8. Repair any houses that may have been damaged by the dragon after the Flying Machine is built to complete your goal.

Chapter 3: The Mountain

Level 11

• Requirements: Own 2 Gingerbreads, Harvest 5 tree lots, Own 8 houses, Rental income of 4,000 Gold

1. Harvest 3 tree lots for 550 Materials each
2. Build 4 Gingerbread houses
3. Purchase any properties for sale that appear
4. Build 4 Cottages on empty lots. You may need to Harvest or Demolish properties you purchase first
5. Paint 1 Gingerbread, and Upgrade one Gingerbread to 1 star and one to 3 stars

Level 12

• Requirements: Own 1 Fairy Toadstool, Collect 8 Fairies (3 more needed), Town charm of +25, Own 1 Gingerbread upgraded with 3 stars, 60,000 Gold

1. Harvest 1 tree lot for Materials
2. Build 1 Dwarves Foundry on Mystic lot
3. Purchase additional Material units, then Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on the other Mystic lot
4. Build 1 Gingerbread on empty lot and Paint
5. Paint Cottage, then Protect it
6. Upgrade the Gingerbread to 3 stars and Protect
7. Harvest the remaining lot for Gold or Materials as needed
8. Build 1 Manor on empty lot and Paint
9. Upgrade Manor to 1 star
10. Purchase 3 new Fairies
11. Upgrade Manor to 3 stars and Protect
12. Purchase lot for sale, then Build 1 Manor and Paint
13. Purchase lot for sale, then Build 1 Gingerbread and Paint
14. Upgrade Manor to 3 stars and Protect
15. Purchase lot for sale, then Build 1 Gingerbread and Paint
16. Upgrade 2 Gingerbreads to 2 stars and 3 stars respectively
17. Sell the 2 star and 3 star Gingerbreads to meet the Gold goal

Level 13

• Requirements: Own 1 Pool of Life, Own 1 Fairy Toadstool, Protect 3 houses, Own 2 painted Dens, Rental income of 5,000 Gold

1. Create Pool of Life on Mystic empty lot
2. Harvest 2 tree lots for 550 Materials each
3. Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on other Mystic empty lot
4. Harvest remaining 2 tree lots for 550 Materials each
5. Build 2 Gingerbreads and 2 Dens on 4 empty lots, Paint all of them
6. Upgrade Gingerbreads and Dens to 3 stars each
7. Protect 3 of your houses
8. Purchase 2 lots for sale, Build 1 Gingerbread and 1 Manor on the lots and Paint both
9. Upgrade Gingerbread and Manor to 3 stars each (you should now have a Rent income of 5, 325 Gold)

Level 14

• Requirements: Own 1 Witches Cauldron, Own 3 Enchanted houses, Own 3 painted Gingerbreads, Town Charm of +50

1. Harvest 3 tree lots for Materials
2. Build 1 Witches Cauldron on Mystic empty lot
3. Build 3 Gingerbreads on empty lots and Paint all of them
4. Purchase 2 lots for sale, then Build 2 Dens and Paint (separately is fine)
5. Enchant all 5 houses

Level 15

• Requirements: Own 3 Structures, Decorate 5 houses, Own 5 Enchanted houses, Own 5,000 Materials, (additional) Rent income of 8,000 Gold

1. Harvest 6 tree lots for Materials and 5 tree lots for Gold
2. Build 1 Dwarves Foundry on Mystic lot
3. Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on a corner lot of the same row as the Dwarves Foundry if possible.
4. Build 1 Witches Cauldron on lot in the same row
5. Build 1 Gingerbread and 4 Dens on empty lots: Upgrade all to 3 stars, Decorate, Enchant, and Paint
6. Build 2 more Gingerbreads on empty lots: Paint, Enchant, Decorate, Upgrade all to 3 stars, and Protect
7. Build 1 more Gingerbread next to the Structures and Upgrade to 1 star
8. Purchase 5,000 Materials, or as needed to reach the Materials goal

Level 16

• Requirements: Create the Troll Bridge, (additional) No houses, (additional) No empty lots, (additional) +30 Charm

1. Harvest 3 tree lots for 550 Materials each
2. Build 1 Dwarves Foundry on edge/corner lot if possible
3. Demolish 2 Dens
4. Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on edge/corner lot if possible (or next to Dwarves Foundry)
5. Build 1 Gingerbread on empty lot, Paint and Decorate
6. Build 2 Cottages on empty lots, Paint and Decorate both
7. Upgrade 1 Gingerbread and 2 Cottages to 3 stars each, Protect all
8. Purchase 2 lots for sale, Build 2 Gingerbreads on those lots
9. Paint, Decorate, and Upgrade 2 Gingerbreads to 3 stars each, Protect
10. Purchase 3 new Fairies
11. Create Troll Bridge (purchase Materials if necessary)
12. Sell 3 Gingerbreads and 1 Cottage to save up Gold
13. Purchase any and all lots for sale, Demolish if lot has a house
14. Demolish Dwarves Foundry and Fairy Toadstool, Reforest both lots
15. Purchase (back) and Demolish all lots unless a tree lot. Reforest empty or house lots
16. Once all lots are Reforested, Harvest 3 tree lots and Create 3 Pools of Life

Chapter 4: The Swamp

Level 17

• Requirements: Own 3 painted Tree Houses, Own 1 Fairy Toadstool, Own 7 houses, Rental income of 10,000 Gold

2. Build 1 Dwarves Foundry on empty lot
3. Build 1 Tree House on empty lot and Paint

4. Build 1 Dwarves Foundry on Mystic empty lot
5. Purchase 1 cheaper (2,500 value) lot for sale when available
6. Build 1 Witches Cauldron on empty lot (edge location if possible)
7. Upgrade 1 Tree House to 3 stars
8. Paint 1 Den
9. Purchase lot with Den when available for sale and Paint
10. Build 2 Manors on 2 empty lots and Gild both
11. Purchase 2 additional lots for 2 additional Dens and Paint
12. Upgrade Manors to 3 stars each

6. Build 1 Tree House, Upgrade to 1 star (3 stars after next step, step 7)
7. Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on Mystic empty lot
8. Purchase 3 tree lots when for sale, Harvest for Materials
9. Build 1 Tree House on coveted lot, Upgrade to 1 star
10. Create Gazebo of Love on empty lot (next to Tree House)
11. By now you should have a good income, so Demolish 1 Dwarves Foundry

• Requirements: Own 5 Enchanted Cottages, Collect 12 Fairies (5 more needed), Own 10,000 Materials (9,900 more needed), 120,000 Gold, (additional) Own 5 Painted Cottages

1. Harvest 1 tree lot for 1,150 Materials and Build 1 Tree House here
2. Harvest 3 tree lots for Materials and 1 for 5,000 Gold
3. Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on empty lot (separate row if possible)
4. Purchase 3 new Fairies (2 more needed)
5. Build 1 Tree House on empty lot

• Requirements: Harvest 20 tree lots, Own 16 houses, Rental income of 30,000 Gold

1. Purchase 500 Material units for 4,000 Gold
2. Build 1 Tree House on empty lot
3. Harvest 1 tree lot for 1,150 Materials and Build 1 Tree House here
4. Harvest 2 additional tree lots: 1 for Materials, 1 for Gold
5. Build 1 Tree House on empty lot
6. Purchase coveted (tree) lot as soon as possible, Harvest for Materials
7. Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on empty Mystic lot
8. Harvest last tree lot for Materials
9. Purchase Mystic lot for sale as soon as possible, Build 1 Dwarves Foundry here
10. Purchase 3 new Fairies
11. Purchase 3 additional new Fairies (now 13 total)
12. Purchase lots for sale as you can, Harvest trees for Materials and Build Tree Houses in their place
13. After 6 Tree Houses, Purchase 2 new Fairies for a total of 15
14. Once all lots have been purchased, and you have 14 Tree Houses total, Demolish the Fairy Toadstool
15. Upgrade five Tree Houses to 3 stars, five Tree Houses to 2 stars, and four Tree Houses to 1 star
16. Demolish the Dwarves Foundry
17. Reforest and Harvest the 2 Mystic lots for Materials until the Harvest goal is met (you can check progress via the green/first tab)
18. Once met, Build 1 Tree House and 1 Den on the Mystic lots for a total Rental income of 30,735 Gold

Level 23

• Requirements: Own 1 Romantic Restaurant, Own 1 Manor on a coveted lot, Town Charm of +120, (additional) Own 1 Cottage on a coveted lot

1. Build 1 Tree House on empty lot
2. Harvest tree lot for 1,150 Materials
3. Build 1 Dwarves Foundry on empty Mystic lot
4. Purchase more Materials, Build 1 additional Tree House on empty lot
5. Purchase the empty lot for sale, as well as the one with the Den as soon as possible. Upgrade the Den to 3 stars and sell for 5,500 Gold minimum.
6. Build 1 Tree House on purchased empty lot
7. Purchase the Mystic (Cottage) property as soon as possible, Demolish the Cottage and Build 1 Fairy Toadstool here
8. Purchase middle property (not coveted) as soon as possible, Create Gazebo of Love here
9. Purchase property (not coveted) next to Gazebo of Love as soon as possible, Build 1 Tree House here
10. Purchase 3 new Fairies
11. Upgrade 2 Tree Houses to 3 stars each
12. Purchase (back) the lot with the 3 star Cottage when for sale
13. Purchase the final Mystic lot as soon as possible, Harvest trees for Gold
14. Build 1 Witches Cauldron on final Mystic lot
15. Protect all 3 star Tree Houses
16. Purchase additional lots as available
17. Enchant all houses to add Charm (you should have a rating of +130 with 2 Gazebos of Love in middle locations and 6 Enchanted houses)
18. Build an additional Gazebo of Love between two houses
19. With 2 coveted properties left to purchase, buy them and Build 1 Manor and Create Romantic Restaurant in these locations
20. With all the goals met, one additional will appear: 1 coveted Cottage. If you don’t have a Cottage on your third coveted property already, Demolish what’s there and build 1 Cottage to meet your goal

Chapter 5: The Forest

Level 24

• Requirements: Own 1 Enchanted Tower, Own 3 Tree Houses upgraded with 3 stars, Own 5 tree lots, 150,000 Gold

1. Harvest 2 tree lots for 2,400 Materials each
2. Build 3 Tree Houses on empty lots
3. Harvest 1 tree lot for 10,000 Gold
4. Purchase 2 new Fairies
5. Harvest 1 tree lot for Materials
6. Build 1 Tower on coveted lot
7. Build 1 Witches Cauldron on Mystic empty lot
8. Purchase 4 tree lots for sale as available, Harvest 1 of these for Materials

Level 25

• Requirements: Own 1 Magical Harp, Own 3 Gingerbreads, Own 1 Witches Cauldron, Town Charm of +150, (additional), No Dens in the town

1. Harvest 1 tree lot for Materials and 2 for Gold
2. Build 1 Gingerbread on empty lot
3. Purchase 1 Mystic tree lot as soon as possible, Harvest for Materials
4. Purchase the Den properties as soon as possible and Demolish all Dens
5. Create 1 Magical Harp on a middle lot (between two lots)
6. Build 1 Gingerbread next to Magical Harp
7. Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on empty Mystic lot
8. Purchase remaining Mystic tree lots as available and Harvest as necessary
9. Build 1 Gingerbread on other side of Magical Harp
10. Purchase 3 new Fairies
11. Build 1 Witches Cauldron on Mystic lot
12. Protect 2 Gingerbreads on either side of the Magical Harp

3. Harvest 1 tree lot for Materials, Build 1 Fairy Toadstool
4. Harvest 1 tree lot for Gold
5. Upgrade Tower to 3 stars, Protect
6. Purchase 3 new Fairies
7. Build 1 Dwarves Foundry on empty lot
8. Paint and Decorate the Tower
9. Purchase the Cottage properties as you’re able and Demolish all Cottages
10. Build 2 Towers on empty lot (one at a time), Upgrade to 3 stars, Protect, Paint, and Decorate all
11. Purchase 3 new Fairies
12. Build 1 Tower on empty lot, Paint
13. Purchase a coveted lot, Demolish and Build 1 Gingerbread

Level 27

• Requirements: Own 10 Enchanted houses, Town Charm of +180, 300,000 Gold

1. Harvest 1 tree lot for Materials
2. Build 1 Tower on empty lot
3. Repeat this process: Harvest 1 tree lot for Materials and Build 1 Tower on empty lot
4. Harvest final tree lot for Materials
5. Build 1 Tower (3 total now) on empty lot
6. Purchase more lots as available and Harvest for Materials
7. Build 1 Tower on empty lot
8. Create 1 Magical Harp next to Tower on an empty middle lot
9. Build 1 Tower on other side of Magical Harp (5 Towers total now)
10. Create another Magical Harp between two Towers
11. Create 3rd Magical Harp on an empty middle lot next to a Tower
12. Build 1 Tower on other side of the 3rd Magical Harp
13. Build 1 Witches Cauldron on lot away from Harps and Towers
14. Upgrade 2 Towers to 1 star each and Paint

3. Purchase properties as they become available, the cheaper the better. Demolish houses
4. Build 3 Towers on empty lots
5. Build 1 Tree House, Upgrade to 2 stars
6. Purchase back the Tree House sold earlier
7. Purchase 2 coveted lots- 1 with a Tree House
8. Upgrade all Tree Houses to 3 stars
9. Demolish Gingerbread on coveted lot and Build 1 Witches Cauldron
10. Purchase all tree lots
11. Gild 5 Towers

Level 29

5. Purchase Mystic lot when available

7. Build 1 Dwarves Foundry on Mystic lot
8. Purchase additional lots as available, Harvest as needed
9. Build 2 Towers on empty lots
10. Demolish small houses, Build 2 more Towers (total of 6 now)
11. Purchase Manors for sale
12. Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on Mystic lot
13. Build 1 Tower
14. Purchase 2 new Fairies
15. Purchase coveted lot when possible, Demolish Tree House and Build 1 Manor

1. Harvest 1 tree lot for Gold
2. Purchase 1 new Fairy
3. Harvest 2 tree lots for Materials
4. Build 2 Towers (1 on a Mystic lot)
5. Build 1 Fairy Toadstool on Mystic lot
6. Purchase new lots as available
7. Build 1 Tower on coveted lot
8. Demolish Tower on Mystic lot
9. Build 1 Dwarves Foundry on Mystic lot
10. Build 1 Tower on empty lot
11. Purchase 10 new Fairies (3 at a time) for a total of 20
12. Upgrade all Towers to 3 stars and Protect
13. Sell one 3 star Tower located on a normal lot
14. Create Princess Castle
15. Purchase and Demolish all coveted lots you don’t own already, Build Towers on all of them
16. Upgrade 3 coveted Towers to 3 stars, Protect all Towers
17. Demolish the Dwarves Foundry
18. Build 1 Witches Cauldron on Mystic lot
19. Enchant all 6 coveted Towers
20. Demolish all houses on normal lots, as well as the Fairy Toadstool, Reforest all lots
21. Demolish the Witch Cauldron and Create Magical Harp in its place
