Sometimes, all you need is a cuppa. The different cups of Bridger Western Tea grant various buffs depending on the tea leaves you use. While tea is optional in Bridger Western, there are two types I recommend keeping a stock of.

If you go fishing in Bridger Western, you can also cook up meals for additional buffs.

Bridger Western Tea

Nothing beats a warm cup of tea. By collecting different types of tea leaves, you can brew specific cups of tea. Not all are worth it, in my opinion, but each time you harvest a tea leaf, you might even get a Dogbane Herb.

Tea Leaves

You can find tea leaves across the map when exploring. If you spot a faint glow, then it’s most likely a tea leaf. As you harvest tea leaves, there’s a small chance to obtain a Dogbane Herb, too.

Dogbane Herbs cannot be used to brew tea and instead are used to sell for Moola, wiping your Stand, and lowering your character’s age.

Grass

  • Turtleshell Stem
  • Deerheart Root
  • Hawkeye Herb

Sand

  • Reservoir Root
  • Sunblessed Leaf
  • Hellfire Sprout

Tea Buffs

The entire point of drinking tea is to unlock temporary buffs. The tea you brew changes depending on which tea leaves you use. You only need one tea leaf to make tea, and if I’m being honest, there are only two types of tea I recommend brewing.

The best tea to make is Invigorating Tea and Refreshing Tea. Invigorating Tea replenishes your HP, and Refreshing Tea replenishes your Stamina. They’re a great option for when you need a quick boost. The other types of tea are more situational.

    • Clarifying Tea
  • Buff:
    • Increases your Accuracy when using firearm weapons

Hellfire Sprout

  • Brew:
    • Spicy Tea
  • Buff:
    • Increases your speed slightly but reduces your HP by 10%

    • Refreshing Tea

    • Toughening Tea
  • Buff:
    • Reduces incoming DMG

How to Brew Tea

To brew any type of tea, you need to find a campsite with a kettle. Equip a tea leaf before interacting with the kettle to start brewing, and after a few seconds, your tea is ready to collect.

Using Cards to Change Tea

Change the functions of tea with the cards, Tea Time and FAUX: Team Time.

  • Tea Time
    • If you drink tea between 3 pm and 5 pm, there will be almost no cooldown
  • FAUX: Tea Time
    • To use the FAUX: Tea Time card, you need the Tea Time card.
    • It reduces your Maximum HP by 30
    • Permanently shortens the cooldown when drinking tea
    • Has an additional surprise effect

You don’t have much choice when it comes to which cards you get when visiting the Mud Witch’s Hut. After spending 150 Moola for her to read your fortune, you have to pick between three cards, but there’s no guarantee that one of those cards will be the Tea Time card.

You can reroll the card for free the first time, but afterwards it costs 50 Moola each time.
