Supercell has just released another glorious update which will see the introduction of a new Brawler, game mode, skins and more. It’s fair to say this is a huge update that unsurprisingly did not take off without a hitch. So, why were Brawl Stars down and what is coming next month? Keep reading to get answers.

Maintenance time

After Supercell released the update to Brawl Stars, they realised that it caused a massive problem. The problem was that after downloading the update, players could not log in to Brawl Stars. This meant users were without their beloved Mortis for a good couple of hours.

To avoid facing this problem, Supercell told everyone to NOT download their latest update as it would cause problems with logging in. But now that the update has been out for several hours, any problems have been resolved and we are free to brawl once again.

Siege Mode

This update promised to bring a lot to the table, one of these promises was a new game mode called Siege. If you haven’t heard about it, then allow me to explain. Siege is a mix of game modes including Heist, Gem Grab and Boss Fight.

What I mean by this, is that you will have a safe to protect and will have to gather bolts from the middle of the map. Gather enough bolts to create a robot and he will march to the opponents safe and destroy it.

Since this game mode has an extra step, as in it’s not just grab the bolts or destroy the safe, there will be double rewards. These double rewards include XP and Trophies, so it will be worth our time to play.

New Brawler Carl

There is a new Brawler who is scheduled to be introduced around the middle of March. His name is Carl, and he throws a pickaxe like a boomerang doing damage to anyone in his way. This attack has the chance to do multiple chunks of damage from an opponent who is too slow to move out the way.

His pickaxe pierces through enemies, which means you can hit multiple enemies with the same throw. Carl differs from other Brawlers as he only has one ammo slot which recharges when his pickaxe returns. We will have more information on Carl in another guide.

New Skin and more

As part of an update, there are plenty of tweaks and changes which should make our brawling life easier. These tweaks include increasing the range of pickups, so we can now pick up gems from further away. Plus introducing Launch Pads, an interactive map element that will do what the name suggests.

There is a new skin coming although we will have to wait and see who this skin is for. But one thing I can confirm is the new maps being introduced, four to Showdown, and seven to Gem Grab while only one to Brawl Ball. I believe these are community made maps, so if you want to be a part of the next update design some maps!
