With the introduction of a new game mode in Brawl Stars, there will always be an introduction period where players get used to the objectives. Since this is the mainstream community’s first glimpse at Siege, there are plenty of tactics being discovered or adapted for this game mode. In this article, we will talk Siege, specifically how to boss it.

What is the Siege game mode?

The Siege game mode is the latest event introduced by Supercell into the ever-growing world of brawl stars. It can be best described as a combination of previous game modes with a little twist here and there. Destroy the other teams vault like in the Heist mode, plus you need to grab bolts that spawn in the middle of the map like in Gem Grab.

The hidden twist is that to damage each other’s safes, you need to gather bolts and create a giant robot. The reason you need this robot is because you can’t set foot inside the enemy’s zone without it. Each vault has a built-in turret to shoot any intruders, so a giant robot is a perfect distraction.

Tips, Cheats and Strategies

  • Collect the bolts. It’s impossible to lose if you have control over the bolts at all times. This means having more bolts than your opposition throughout the game. Every minute or so, the team with the most bolts wins the Siege and they get a giant robot.
  • Shoot the robot! If your team has fewer bolts, and the enemy spawns a giant robot then you should shoot it. The vault has a turret which will destroy the robot, but you need to help it as much as possible.
  • Block the bot. If you have already survived one robot encounter, and the opposition has one on its way then you can sacrifice your life to give your team a chance. What I mean by this, is if you walk up to the giant robot as it’s in your zone, you will distract it and it will swing for you. So if you’re clever with your movement your team can do massive damage to the bot before it targets the safe.
  • The game often Yo-Yo’s. What I mean is that after you create a robot, your bolts will be reset back to zero. Therefore, your opposition is more than likely to get the next robot which is fine. You want to create the first and third robot to win the game quickly.
  • Kill quickly. If you kill an enemy within a second or two of them picking up a bolt, you can steal it. When choosing a brawler, think about whether this brawler can either hold off enemies for a couple of seconds or kill them in that time.
  • Turrets are good. If you were to pick Jessie or Penny, they both have supers that spawn an automated turret. In this game mode, turrets are effective as players prioritise the giant robot or other players over anything else.
  • Think area damage. If you can pick a character like Barley, Dynamike or Spike then you can use your super to do massive damage to the vault. This is because, the robot distracts the turret you can launch your super at the vault that can’t move out the way.
