It’s a bizarre idea, but there are some things you need to understand if you want to get the most out of it.

Don’t just hold the button down and keep blowing, otherwise you’ll run out of breath and you won’t be able to blow anymore. Keep an eye on the lungs in the top left hand corner of the screen and you can see where and when you’re going to have to take in a deep breath to get more power.
The top part of your lungs gives you a stronger blow than the lower parts. You should time your breathing so that you’re sucking air in when your lungs are just below half full, that way they’ll fill up quicker and you’ll get back to your most powerful blow in the quickest way possible.
There are different kinds of levels and you need to change your approach slightly depending on what you need to do. Learn the different ways you need to breathe to succeed, and then replicate what you did the next time that kind of level comes round.
Keep an eye on the object you’re blowing and use the lulls when it’s close to your opponent to take in your breaths. If you’re sucking in air when the object is too close to your mouth, you’re giving your opponent the chance to push it back towards you and that’s the exact opposite of what you should be aiming for.
There are two upgrade options at the bottom of the screen when you start a level, and you should try and upgrade them whenever you can. Sometimes that’s going to mean watching a video, but it’s worth it to give yourself an extra boost. Other times you’re going to be able to upgrade by spending some coins.
