Just what is the deal with that Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas marriage system anyway? Well, if that question was on your mind, you’ve come to the right place. In this guide, we’re going to break down exactly how it works, why you should do it, and various other tips and tricks. By the end of it, you’ll be an absolute expert – or we’ll give you your money back.

For the uninitiated, Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas is a brand new gacha RPG that expands on the usual formula. Sure, there’s the usual hero collecting, automatic battling, and powering up shenanigans that you’ve grown to love. But, on top of that is a pretty intriguing plot, and a city-building system that allows you to get invested in some politics. Think Game of Thrones and you’re almost there.

We’re big fans of Bloodline here on Gamezebo, and have put together a few guides for you. Make sure to check out our Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas tier list to ensure that you only pick the best heroes. Then, grab some Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas codes to get some freebies on us.

How Does Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas Marriage Work?

In a nutshell, the Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas marriage system basically allows you to replace unwanted traits on your favourite heroes. One hero is destroyed in the process, and the primary hero gains a random trait from the spouse. That’s not really how marriage works in real life, but we’ll let it slide.

Technically, the primary hero becomes a new hero following the marriage. You will have the same traits, minus the one you chose to destroy, plus a trait randomly-assigned from the destroyed spouse. The rarity of the original card remains the same tier.

How do I Perform a Marriage?

That’s easy. Just follow these steps:

  • Launch Bloodline: Heroes of Lithas
  • Go to the ‘Marriage’ screen from the main menu
  • Choose the ‘Main Champion’ – the one you don’t want to be destroyed
  • Select your ‘Spouse Champion’ – this one will be destroyed
  • Select the trait you want to replace
  • Run the marriage

Why Should I Marry Two Cards?

Good question. Basically, if you have a near-perfect card, but aren’t happy with a trait or two, you might as well roll the dice and marry it with a spouse that you don’t use, but has a desirable trait. You could try doing this numerous times to try and get the perfect card too.
