Candywriter just provided one of the biggest updates for BitLife yet, with the inclusion of weekly challenges. That’s right, every week or so, Candywriter is going to introduce a brand new challenge to the experience that will encourage you to play the text-based life simulator in a wide variety of new ways.

In this guide, we’ll detail everything that’s new in BitLife and how you can make the most of it. If it’s something else you’re looking for, go ahead and check out our Complete Guide to BitLife, which includes links to everything we’ve written so far.

BitLife Version 1.31 Update Guide

Weekly Challenges

The big new feature of this update is weekly challenges, which provide you with a new way to play the text-based life simulator on a near-weekly basis. The first of these is the Alphabet Challenge, which tasks you with giving birth to a baby for every letter in the alphabet. That’s a lot of babies.

Orphanages

In the tragic event that you end up losing both of your parents in BitLife, you’ll now end up in an orphanage. We’re not entirely sure who has been taking care of orphan babies up until this point but at least Candywriter has addressed the issue.

Relationship Counselling

Relationship on the rocks? Well, why not make one last-ditch effort to save it and get relationship counselling. No, we’re not referring to your real life relationship. We mean in BitLife.

Embezzlement

Candywriter has introduced a brand new crime to BitLife, and that’s embezzlement. That’s where you basically steal money from your employer, so if you fancy earning extra money on the side, go ahead and take the risk.

Pleas and Plea Bargains

Plea bargains have been introduced to BitLife, allowing you to agree guilty to a specific crime in exchange for a reduced sentence or less severe punishment. This might even help you avoid prison, where it was impossible earlier.

Gift Cars and Houses

This one is self-explanatory. If you manage to get rich enough in BitLife that you can afford multiple cars and houses, you can gift them to friends and family. That’s one heck of a gift.

Car Loans and Mortgages

Can’t afford a new car or house? Well, you can now get a loan or mortgage that will help you with that. Be careful though, as if you can’t afford to pay it off, you might end up in serious trouble.

New Scenarios

While we don’t know the exact nature of them, Candywriter has introduced over 50 new scenarios to the game. So at least you get to experience new content as you strive to complete the weekly challenges.

The Rest

Now we’ll round up the new additions that aren’t quite interesting enough to get their own sections. These are direct quotes taken from the App Store’s patch notes:

  • Lots of work on the new person emojis
  • Bug fixes, interface improvements, and life refinements
