Based on popular anime Bleach, it recreates the intense Faction rivalries from that show in a digital setting, demanding high-level play if you want to get anywhere with it. Playing as a Hollow in the game feels a bit like a challenge mode at first, but eventually they get access to some of the best builds in the game. In this guide, I’ll go over the very best of these.

The Best Arrancar Weapon In Type Soul

With all things considered, my vote for the best Arrancar Weapon available to use in Type Soul would have to go to the Grimmjow Claws. It’s exclusive to Hakuda builds, but it’s also the main reason why such builds are so dominant in the current meta.

The key to the power of the Grimmjow Claws is their combo potential. Their critical attack launches you and your opponent into the air, at which point you can easily string together a game-winning combo. If you can get to grips with the quick inputs necessary, you’ll find this the most effective Arrancar strategy in the game by far.

How To Get Grimmjow Claws

In order to, quite literally, get your hands on the Grimmjow Claws, you’ll need to reroll your Weapon until you get them. For Hollow characters, you need a rare item called a Hollow Box to do this. For more information on how to get these, check out our Type Soul Hollow Box guide.

Honourable Mentions

While not quite the best, these Weapons will make fine substitutes until you do manage to get yourself some Grimmjow Claws.

• Ulquiorra’s Katana – This may look like a normal katana on the surface, but its power lies in its critical attack. It’s a broad sweep that creates a dark cloud, and it has a much wider hitbox than you’d expect, letting you punish greedy opponents in PvP matches.
• Nnoitra’s Scythe – This weapon is notorious for being able to inflict status conditions on your foes. The critical attack inflicts cripple, which slows your opponent down, while the regular M1 combo can inflict Stun if you land all 5 hits. Both of these effects are highly disruptive, and grat for securing sneaky PvP wins.
