Ball Paint is one of those relaxing games that you can mindlessly tap to after a stressful day at work. The concept is remarkably simple: you just have to make a ball filled with different colours the same colour. You achieve that by tapping sections of it to fire a coloured ball into it, turning all adjacent sections of the ball the same colour as the coloured ball you fired into it.

Well, it’s simple in theory anyway. In practice, things can get a little tricky after the first few levels or so. That’s because the ball can be filled with any number of colours, and you’ll have to frantically scroll around to find the best place to fire your coloured ball. Here’s a few tips and tricks to help get you started.

Ball Paint Tips and Tricks:

There’s No Need to Rush:

You don’t get a higher score so going fast. In fact, speed doesn’t change the score you get at all, so there’s really no need to go quickly in BallPaint. Just take your time and get through the level in any manner you deem possible.

Always Hit the Biggest Part of the Ball:

We found the most effective method of covering the ball was to always hit the part of the ball that’s most covered in colour. This might well be the part of the ball that you’ve just hit, but that’s okay. Chances are, the different colour will pick up nearby parts of the ball of the same colour.

Spin Around to Check the Most Optimal Parts to Colour:

You can swipe to spin around the ball and glance at the entirety of it to see which sections you should colour in next. It’s worth doing this when there are loads of colours to check which colour is the biggest.

Ignore Smaller Sections:

It’s worth ignoring the smaller sections of the balls when changing colours, as chances are you can pick them up later when you fill in the bigger sections with colour.

The Number on the Ball Details How Many Taps Till You Fail:

The number on the coloured ball details how many taps you have until the level fails. Don’t panic, as you usually have enough taps to complete every level with balls to spare if you follow our tips above.
